"As good as in Northern VA. Stopped by for lunch during the week. Place was packed with non Asian clientele looking for a quick non fatting lunch dish. I ordered my usual which is Pho (Northern Vietnamese soup) with sliced round steak which they slice very thin and let it cook in the soup. All the dishes came quickly to the others as well as me by pleasant servers. You pay at the cash register. If you don't know how to eat Vietnamese just sit and observe. You have to love the Pho which is a deep beef broth with vermicelli rice noodles and light fresh greens. I put on a lot of the spices that are available at the table. Next time I must try their Spring Rolls."

ALWAYS FANTASTIC. And cheap. And fast. One of our favorite restaurants, certainly best Asian Vietnamese restaurant IMHO.

their grilled meat dishes are excellent, one of the best I had! succulent, tasteful and savory with a hauch of sweet. I tried her lemongrass.

Dear vietnam 1. Yes, it is lacking in the atmosphere, but it has the best eating, I have tried all other local Vietnamese options and that is still my absolute favorit. the ice-cream rocks! dear V8 it is my favorite!

We got the chicken pho and the BBQ grilled chicken, loved both of them... Very fresh and delicious. Our waiter was friendly and very helpful and the ambience was rather welcoming. We are definitely gonna make a return trip. View menu

delicious. we went to vietnam 1 for lunch today and it was excellent. we have the memories of a Vietnamese restaurant in arlington, va, which is now gone, and we have been looking for its equality. vietnam 1 is at least the same. I had bbq swarm with reis vermicelli. my man had mi xao don (with tofu.) really delicious. the service was a little slow, but it is worth waiting. we had also eaten Vietnamese coffee.

perhaps the best in richmond! we went to vietnam 1 for lunch and were immediately met by how great eating smelled from the moment we went in the door. we ordered pho ga and the Vietnamese curry with tofu and vegetables. the pho was the best I ever had. the broth had a delicate taste and the crushed chicken was excellent. the curry sauce was delicious total midday bill was under twenty dollars. we're gonna...often!

"I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I have to say I was very disappointed in my dining experience at Adarra. It’s difficult to get a reservation there, so once I was able to, I had extremely high expectations. The drinks were excellent, so no complaints there. The food, however, was not. We ordered the toasted almonds, peppers, cheese plate, tuna belly, anchovy dish, tomato salad, and gnocchi. The almonds and peppers were good, although I have to say they were on the simpler side. The tuna belly made me think I was eating quality tuna from a can soaked in olive oil. That’s the best way I can describe it. It was a bit tough and on the dry side, and I didn’t finish it. I don’t usually eat anchovies since I’m not a fan of the typical fishy taste, but was assured that their version wasn’t fishy at all the way they prepare it. I ate a piece or two but couldn’t finish it. Soaking the anchovies in olive oil did not hide the fishy taste. Some people may like that fishy taste, but I definitely didn’t. The cheese plate was okay. The crackers weren’t anything special, and the amount of cheese was pretty minuscule. The tomato salad was actually the only thing I ordered that was delicious, and the only thing we actually finished. After being at the restaurant for almost two hours, the gnocchi had still not come out. We told our waitress we didn’t want it and decided to leave. I heard so many great things about Adarra and had such high hopes. But after such a disappointing meal that we paid over $200 for, we will not be returning."
