"Stayed last week for a Family Wedding. I stayed in the Lodge one night and we had a Cabin the rest of the weekend. Both are very nice. The Lodge rooms are big, newer, well thought out, and very comfortable. The Cabin was super clean, well stocked with everything you would need if you wanted to prepare your own meals. The Restaurant/ Bar had really good food, generous mixed drinks. Menu had something for everyone, great selection of local and national brewed beer, but Spotted Cow is a State favorite. The Wedding went off without a hitch. The dinner was hand prepared from scratch for 100+ guests, not to mention, awesome. Russ and Val are gratious hosts, very accommodating all the way through from reservations to checkout. Everyone making sure we had almost everything we needed. The only issue was internet was spotty at best, same for cell service. Minor issue, and not why we were there. If you had connectivity, you would miss the beautiful lake, the quiet well kept grounds, and the ability to connect with something other than your phone and tablet."

Waubee Lodge has a striking appearance in photos and from the parking lot, but the management inside could use some improvement.

Waubee Lodge genuine log cabin dining....EXCELLENT FOOD, SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE!! A must stop destination. LRge dining balcony overlooks a beautiful northwoods lake.

Beautiful place for a weekend away. But for events it is absolutely terrible. Room rates sky rocket in price. They cancelled my reservation after I had payed and gave me a tiny room. Run away if your thinking about doing an event here. They lost a

We attended a wedding at this venue, and the view was absolutely stunning. The wedding reception was well-organized, and the staff was fantastic to work with—very friendly and accommodating. The bar and restaurant upstairs are quite spacious, with a welcoming, homey atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place!

All rooms have a balcony or patio. Very clean and welcoming. Some rooms have full kitchens. Awesome shower. Quality bed. Very quiet. Bar and restaurant are top notch and just down the hall. We were in the area exploring all the nearby state and county parks. Went for our 30th Anniversary get away. Was given a basement room that was damp and musty with a dehumidifier running constant. When we asked for another room we were told they were full and were asked if we emptied the dehumidifier. I didn't pay almost $170 to empty a dehumidifier and spend my night in a damp room with the constant noise of a dehumidifier. Didn't dare use the jacuzzi as there was enough of a dampness issue. Looked like a nice place, but apparently if you get stuck in a basement room you should run the other way.. thanks so much for making our anniversary get away so very special. I am sure we will never forget it..

I dined at their restaurant last night and was quite disappointed with my experience. They had a couple of dinner specials, including a 20oz ribeye, which I decided to order medium rare. At our table, three of us opted for steak, and unfortunately, all three came out inconsistent. One side of my steak was overcooked, while the other was extremely undercooked—mine was nearly raw, almost blue. I requested that it be cooked a little longer, but when it returned, it was well done.
