"Perhaps we hit them on a bad day, but it was noon on a Saturday, the place just opened w/ little patronage. My son, who's gone here before, raved about this place. It took far too long, at the bar, to get a beer and the wings were way over cooked and under sauced. I'm willing to give this place a 2nd chance, but I'm not impressed at this point! I had much higher hopes. On a positive, the place is very welcoming and looks well maintained. I certainly appreciate your response. Being 3 seats away, you would have noticed both, my son and I looking around to place our drink order, wondering where the waitstaff was. I understand you will attempt to rectify your position and the reflection of this review. I truly hope, that should I return to your establishment, the timeliness of your waitstaff improves. In all honesty, the establishment is very nice, the waitstaff friendly, and I'm sure, aside from this visit, the food is exceptional. I wish you and your business great successes!"

"To give you an idea, the menu listed the Chicken Parmesan dinner at $14.95, but I was charged $18.67. The Chicken Caesar wrap was priced at $8.95, yet I paid $11.39. For the personal specialty pizza, the menu price was $10.95, and I was charged $11.39. In total, I was overcharged by $7.05. When I brought this issue up to the employee at the register, she acknowledged that I wasn't the first to complain about the menu overcharging and agreed with me. She mentioned that new menus had been ordered weeks ago and I could see she felt uneasy about the situation. However, when I asked if they could adjust the prices to match the menu, she couldn't respond and got a colleague for assistance. The owner was reportedly not present, and I was informed he tends to come in unexpectedly, which makes it difficult for staff to know when he’ll be around. Despite my concerns, they refused to adjust any prices and claimed that menu overcharging is common at other restaurants, which I strongly disagree with. Customers should be informed upon seating that the actual prices are significantly higher than what’s displayed on the menu. I left feeling extremely disappointed in how Papa Al's handled the situation. They could have approached this much more effectively. It seems that at Papa Al's, the saying “the customer is always right” doesn’t apply. Papa Al's, it’s time to step up and stop overcharging your loyal local customers. "Ordered on door dash for the first time since the star rating was good From my opinion I would not reorder from here again the chicken wings were way over cooked charred and the skin was so hard/ rubbery that it broke a filling all the other food I ordered was OK I did find it strange that there were pickles in my side salad the only thing I can say that was great was the canoli Food: 1"

"I just had a cheesesteak with onions, and there's no way I'm putting any sauce on it, LOL. The staff were friendly, the cheesesteak was fantastic, and the prices were reasonable. Being from Philly, I'm quite particular about cheesesteaks. Was it as good as my favorite spot back home? Not quite, but I really enjoyed it nonetheless. I'll definitely be back!"

"The place is cute, chalk board tables, piano, but the one worker had a bad attitude and was very rude. When my family walked in we were the only ones there to order, the only other customers were leaving. Before I ordered anything I asked if the ice cream had egg in it(my son had a severe egg allergy) she started looking through a bunch of binders and I 'm standing waiting for an answer when more customers walked in and she then completely ignored me and started serving everyone else. She ignored for 5 more minutes to where I had my husband ask another worker. That worker didn 't have an answer so she asked the worker I was being ignored by who looked at my husband and said there 's no egg . I could 've gotten that answer 10 minutes ago. Frustrated by the lack of customer service. If you work with ice cream and candy maybe have a sweeter attitude? So sour, I would 've left and never bought anything if it wasn 't my son 's birthday.
