"The renowned French toast is a must-try! During our visit to Door County, we planned to have breakfast here. There were three of us, and we arrived around 11 AM, receiving immediate seating, which was a pleasant surprise. The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. We chose to sit indoors. Among us, we ordered the stuffed French toast and an omelet filled with just the right amount of peppers, mushrooms, cheese, and onions, accompanied by an English muffin and cherry jam. Both dishes were fantastic and served piping hot. Our waiter kindly provided an extra plate. Two of the ladies also enjoyed mimosas, which they loved. I highly recommend this place!"

I can't believe this is considered a top breakfast spot in Door County. The food honestly wasn't very good at all. What isn’t shown is...

This place is absolutely fantastic for breakfast! I could see myself dining here every day. There’s not a single item on the menu that I would consider bad. We tried the Stuffed French Toast...

We enjoyed our first breakfast in Door County at this restaurant, as it came highly recommended. Although I'm not usually a fan of French toast, I couldn't resist trying the cherry-stuffed version... View menu

The food and atmosphere are excellent. It can be tough to get in during peak season, and food delivery may take a bit longer when they're busy. However, they constantly refill your coffee! This is definitely a spot we visit regularly.

This is my go-to spot for breakfast in Door County. The half order of stuffed French toast, accompanied by a side of perfectly cooked bacon and a glass of cherry juice, is the perfect way to kick off the day. Our group also strongly recommends the corned beef and eggs.

This is our favorite spot for fish boil, and we make sure to return at least once a year. The flash boil is thrilling, and we love hearing the stories from the person who does the fish boil. During our last visit, we even met some lovely people from Ohio. We highly recommend it! View menu

On a busy, rainy Saturday morning, we found ourselves seated on the patio, enjoying dry seats under open umbrellas. The service was fantastic! However, the coffee was mediocre, and my omelet was just average. On the other hand, the cherry jelly on my English muffin was absolutely delicious! I’m looking forward to trying the cherry French toast on my next visit.

We always make it a point to have lunch at the White Gull. The service is outstanding, and the portion sizes are incredibly generous (I couldn't finish my meal!). My husband enjoys the stuffed French toast, and it definitely lived up to his expectations! And those cinnamon rolls!!! We managed to get one of the last ones, and it was absolutely amazing! This will definitely be a must-have on our future visits.

"This restaurant has progressively become less and less appealing for anyone who is vegan. I have had many faults with this restaurant over the years that have led me to not recommend this to any one that is vegan. Most recently I discovered that their original pizza crust contains honey. When ordering a vegan cheese or vegan sausage pizza, no server in years indicated to me that there is honey in the crust. (While it has been made to my attention that they do offer a gluten free crust without honey, it still stands that servers have never indicated about the allergen in the original crust. It is not acceptable to not understand conflicting allergens in food items albeit their clause of allergens in the menu, staff ought to show some knowledge or concern for their customers and know allergens. There is a lack of understanding of allergens in communicating with the staff to the customers. In the past I have ordered a vegan sausage topping (wheat product and been given a marinated tofu topping (soy product without any knowledge. Recently I inquired about the new Cauliflower steak bocadilla meal and I was told it was vegan then when asking about the aioli it is clearly not vegan, as well as another item in the meal not being vegan. This meal replaced an overly marinated portabella vegan option, which was not very good, which even replaced a great tofu lettuce wrap meal from years ago which was vegan. The vegan options have become worse over the years. The staff has had an inadequate knowledge of allergens in multiple experiences. And on top of that, It's necessary to order a pizza crispy so that it's even cooked all the way through in their wood oven."
