"Easily the best lobster place we've tried in San Diego. The food was exceptional. For a tasty weekday lunch we had the California Lobster Roll and split sides of cole slaw and fries. Yes, it's expensive but the quality was excellent and the small size of the roll was fine because the filling is so rich. The California roll has bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and lemon-garlic aioli sauce and it's definitely the way to go here. The fries were super crispy and well seasoned with a Cajun rub. It was remarkable to get such delicious cole slaw. It rarely tastes good from places like this. Here it is not sweet but creamy and with a good jolt of vinegar plus poppy seeds and celery salt. I could eat this all day. And an order is $1.99! Wicked Maine Lobster is in a nice food court called Little Italy Food Hall and faces Piazza della Famiglia. It has plenty of tables for outdoor dining and is lovely. Indoor dining is also happening at Little Italy Food Hall and we saw good Covid-19 protocols in place. The bathrooms were clean. We snagged a parking spot along Columbia St around the corner but you'll probably need to use a paid lot if you come during busy hours. We will definitely return to Wicked Maine Lobster and try more things."

This place was delicious, somewhat overpriced, but what would you expect for something so delicious. Lobster tastes fresh! Fries were crispy and the overall taste was amazing.

Loved it but kinda pricey... The Mac n Cheese, probably one of the best I've ever eaten. Went for Taco Tuesday deal...otherwise could not afford with my budget. Excellent food, service and outdoor atmosphere, super!Food: 5/5

Drove from Tucson to San Diego to try a Lobster role after you have a YouTube video on evil. This place doesn't disappoint at all. I'm glad I finally saved this place. Taste is worth the price. One will definitely be back. Both employees were friendly and happy! View menu

The amount of lobster used is INSANE! The fries were perfect very crisp tasty. The roll itself? PHENOMENAL! The price was well worth it; the roll has flavor, complexity and a lot of lobster. First experience at a Wicked Maine Lobster and it was freaking great. Well worth the visit.

The first day as staying here we got the lobster rolls. The lobster itself is delicious and tender- wonderfully cooked, but the sandwich felt it was lacking something... Today we gave the place another try by ordering the fries with queso, bacon lobster ... wow! Now's a delicious and filling appetizer/meal! So yummy.

Delicious. A bit more than I'd probably spend next time but the California Lobster roll was a great treat. Also the fries are fantastic. Wish that they had a different dipping sauce aside from ketchup though. Update: Came back to try the lobster queso fries and completely redeemed themselves. Holy cow, one of the best things we ate on our trip. 5 stars all the way. Skip the roll and go for the fries! View menu

I’ll tell you once I finish pulling the long black stringy hair out of my mouth from my coleslaw .. cooks are unsanitary and being a loyal customer I often wonder if the tips are going to the employees , this whole wicked Maine lobster is a terrible franchise. I will never spend another dime at this place for over priced hairy lobster rolls. Not to mention , I’m a black woman and I know the manager doesn’t like my kind. They make that known with the service every time I come.

Pricey. Came here on a Sunday night after dinner. We came at 7:00 and parking was challenging. Here is a garage that is $12/hour. This is a good cafeteria place with many options from tacos to seafood to burgers. The guy on the counter was meh, not really excited to serve us, but also not super helpful. We ordered two lobster rolls with frits that came up to $70 after tip. The lobster rolls were good, just the right amount of Slav and Mayo. The bread had the right amount of horror. Could do without the fries; but the lobster roll itself was not as full as we expected and the fries helped. It's worth trying. Ignored on the lobster coat, I think it was a bit overrated. The cafeteria has indoor...

"I adore this restaurant. Golden Hill is filled with many many quality eateries, and Counterpoint anchors the neighborhood with it's fun atmosphere and dedication to quality. They recently renovated and the new space is open, airy and provides a variety of seating options: bar seating, restaurant seating, and upper balcony (I use this as a quiet place to WFH during the week), and an outdoor patio. I'm partial to the biscuit and gravy for breakfast, but the brined chicken and waffles or breakfast hash always makes me smile and sends me unto the world with a better outlook on life and a doggie bag. When it's hot, delicious crunchy salads are on the lunch menu and the craft beers and unique slushy flavors change. Counterpoint takes the quality of food and libations seriously. The craft cocktails rotate as the bartenders are encouraged to explore and grow. The owner and team are always warm, welcoming and make sure you have a good experience. Did I mention they are DOG friendly? Definitely worth the trip up the hill from downtown if you're looking to wind down after an event or precharge and eat before a baseball game. I love to bring my friends for a snack (try the olive selection) and chat on a twilight night. Space heaters outside if you get cold. Fans inside if you get warm. Honestly if you live in or are visiting the 92102 area code you should go to Counterpoint: good food, really good cocktails, and great company. It is clear that this establishment cares about quality, cares about your comfort and loves if you have a good time."
