"Warning: Kind of mean. SorryMaybe it was a bad day, but that was the worst service I’ve had in years. No single person working there seemed to know how to do their job. We sat at the bar to expedite things on purpose. Didn’t help. We were completely ignored for 20 minutes. Drink order was ice water and a bottled beverage. THAT took 15 min and we were right next to the drink station. I’ve served in restaurants and bars for over 2 decades. That’s a 1 minute long task at worst. The sushi came out at a reasonable time, but every dish had something wrong. No body asked or checked. If they were slammed, I’d understand, but the staff to customer ratio was 1 to 4 at MOST. I don’t know if they were new employees, but it was careless service. Careless Raw bad news. Also, 1.5 hrs for two sushi rolls and waters? Come on."

My partner introduced me to this restaurant about a year ago. We have ordered takeout several times, but this was my first time dining in. I ordered the Miso...

This spacious restaurant offers ample seating, including a bar area. Parking can be a bit challenging as it is located on Bardstown Road. Plan to find a spot nearby.

Good sushi! The service is great, staff was polite and friendly. Only negative is the price is significantly higher than other comparable sushi in the city.Food: 4/5 View menu

This restaurant is popular for a reason. In the cold winter months, we prefer to order for takeout and look forward to enjoying their outdoor dining in the spring and summer.

Excellent restaurant with amazing food, atmosphere, and service. We got the mango and crunch munch rolls which were delicious. There are a lot of other great choices on the menu.

I don't know why this place doesn't get more love. It's my favorite sushi spot in Louisville. The sushi is always excellent. And the staff is friendly and makes me feel like they're so glad I'm back every time I come in. View menu

Asian fare can be found here. Sushi is prepared by competent chefs here and the kitchen staff do good work too. Staff is friendly and there is decent seating available. This place is usually well traveled but sometimes when bardstown is busier you can still find a table here.Come check this place out, we need more good food on bardstown like Wild Ginger!

quiet, clean, staff friendly, and fast service. It was my first time trying sushi and I loved it! I got the Beef Bulgogi with jasmine rice. My Bae got a noodle bowl. It was good but different. The sushi roll was amazing. All I can say in two words very flavorful. For the drink I had Ginger Tea. OMG it was perfect and stayed hot. This spot is definitely worth a try!Parking: Plenty of street parking infront and on side of building. Bring change if you're coming during the week dayWheelchair accessibility: Ground level entry

"Now, let's talk about the food. The crab cake appetizer was the best we've ever had! It was mostly pure crab with just enough breadcrumbs on the outside to hold it together, featuring large chunks of crab. Delicious! We had heard repeatedly that Repeal has the best steaks in the city, so we felt we had to try them. Unfortunately, we didn't agree. My filet was overcooked and actually charred on one side, even though I requested it medium well (with a bit of pink). My husband’s steak was undercooked despite him ordering medium well, too. While we could have sent them back, we usually don’t unless something is inedible, so we were just disappointed. The steaks were still edible and good—just not great! The $20 twice-baked potato wasn’t worth the price, even with truffle slices and truffle oil included. The Caesar salad was also underwhelming. The white anchovies were an interesting addition, but they didn’t elevate the salad for us. The bread pudding, however, was fantastic! I highly recommend it. On the downside, the cocktails were below par. I know this may seem like a harsh critique of Repeal, but that’s not my intention! I think we set our expectations too high and were somewhat let down given the prices. With that said, would I go back? Yes! I would just choose very different items from the menu next time and likely opt for wine over cocktails."
