"Heard through the grapevine that Woody’s was a Chicago Bears bar and since I’m a big fan, I thought I’d give it a try. There was a lot of Bears fans so I was excited right off the bat. Sat down no more than 10 feet from the bar and it mostly went downhill from there. Server walked up to us after about 10 min of sitting and just stared. Didn’t say hi, didn’t bring a menu, just eyeballs. I finally said hi after an awkward few seconds and asked for a beer and a menu. About 10 min later, I got my beer but no menu. 15 min later (after the server went out for a smoke break), I got my menu well, because I went on the website… never got an actual menu. Sat for over an hour before we got our wings… it was a mess. I’ll still give it another shot next year since it’s a Bears bar but if it wasn’t, not sure I’d be back spending over $100 on that service.Wings were great tho!"

I’d call this place officially dead. Have been coming here since it opened as Varsity 20 some years ago. Have tried it a few times since they split it into an Indian place up front and a cave in the back. View menu

Why did they divide the space? It feels dark and gloomy with no windows. It would be great to have a large garage door to open it up, especially since it's now tucked away behind an Indian restaurant. I really love this place and the servers, but the atmosphere could definitely use some light.

Great place to eat, drink and watch sports on several screens! The service is friendly and attentive. Their chicken wings are the best in town! They also recently added pool tables in addition to dart boards. The new owners are doing a great job with improvements and they are receptive to customer input. ?

Amazing spot for celebration and gatherings. Great ambiance with wonderful service. Food was served fresh and the quality and quantity is just unbeatable. We loved their jumbo burger, chicken strips with fries, chicken wings and veggie burger loaded with freshly sauteed mushrooms and veggies. Must try burgers in town!! Kids enjoyed their meal and altogether we’re glad to have spent that evening at Woody’s!

My husband an I were trying to unwind after Working all week, We We're going to do a date night but my husband loves football I decided to google sports bar in our area and I was surprised to find this place, wasn't a big crowd but very friendly service, the manager was very nice an made us feel very welcome, the wings were great and our server was excellent. Guess this will be my husband's spot for football season, not to mention we have cable sports package at home lol! Recommend this spot very cozy atmosphere.
