"As the shift progressed and the manager was on her own, the place became busier, keeping her on her toes. I inquired about the BBQ sandwich's spiciness, and our server generously brought out a small sample for us. My husband and I were instantly hooked. Unlike many other places, Wright's cooks the beef and BBQ sauce together, creating an irresistible flavor. It was so delicious that when my sandwich arrived, I completely forgot to take a picture! Our server was attentive and kept track of how we were doing. Our food came out quickly and was served hot. The toasted bun was perfectly crispy. I sympathize with those who may have had a bad experience, but I encourage you to give it another chance. When a restaurant first opens, it can be challenging for the servers, particularly if they lack experience, which might lead to incorrect orders or longer wait times. If you notice the restaurant is busy with very few open tables, I ask you to be a bit patient. The servers are doing their utmost to provide you with a great experience at Wright's. On January 27, 2019, we visited Wright’s Family Diner again. The special for the day was turkey and dressing with sides, and it was amazing once more! Despite being packed with customers, I saw nothing but smiles on the servers' faces. Diners are my vibe. Nothing better than a diner with an old school feel, excellent friendly service, and great food. Definitely the best diner I have found around Lawton and it’s the reason I continue to go back!

Want some good food with a laid back atmosphere. Came to the “wright” place. Get it lol waitresses are pleasant n on top of their game. The chefs are really quick and the food is always cooked perfectly. Love this place. Bring a date or bring the whole family.Food: 5/5 View menu

Wright's Family Diner is one of my top choices. The food is fantastic, and the service is exceptional. Tonight, the atmosphere was calm and enjoyable. The diner follows mask-wearing and social distancing guidelines. I appreciate the staff for making my evening so pleasant.

The fried pork chop was extremely thin, and although the okra was served cold, it was still tasty since it was properly cooked. The mashed potatoes and gravy were quite good. I wouldn't recommend the pork chop. This was my first visit, and it might also be my last unless I'm invited to join a group. Overall, I’d rate the food 3 out of 5.

I ordered the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich, but I found the shredded beef to be a bit too salty for my taste. However, the rest of the food was delicious and excellent. My wife had the open-faced steak, which came topped with a giant chicken-fried steak. She really enjoyed the green beans, mashed potatoes, and white gravy. The diner salads were also great. This is a charming small country diner that you should definitely try. I plan to return and sample something else from the menu.

Ordered the beef tips with rice and gravy and peach cobbler to go. Had the beef stew in diner. The stew was bland but veggies were fresh so could tell it was homemade. The beef tips, however, were the same meat from the store, and not tip like at all. Mostly shredded, clumped on top of the rice, gravy came in a cup on the side. Dinner rolls were obviously packaged. Black eyed peas and Mac and cheese sides were ok. Cobbler was pretty good though. Nothing to write home about. As I was eating I watched the server cutting pies from prepackaged tins from a store.
