"I order Pizza to go from there and I enjoy them. But if you don't like burnt crust, you need to tell them not to cook it like that. I forgot to tell them the last time I ordered, brought it home and the whole outside crust was burnt and the cheese was a little too browned. I had to waste 1/3 of the pizza because it overdone."

"I’m not one to write reviews but I must say this was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. While walking through the restaurant it was extremely dirty. When we are sat we asked for a margarita blended. The server brought the margarita not blended and no ice in it. Walked away right away and when we brought it up to the server they said the blender wasn’t working. Which I thought they would inform us of that. After we received our food, the food was tasteless. The guacamole was extremely browned, the sour cream tasted like it was bad, and the ground beef wasn’t done and was extremely pink. I don’t mind pink hamburger but that’s not everyone’s go to. The server was on their phone FaceTiming and talking extremely loud close to where we were eating. Which I find a little annoying. They didn’t check up on us on anything. Once we payed we walked outside and the cook came out and just stared at us angrily as we drove away. I’m extremely disappointed about the service and the overall experience of this restaurant. I will not be coming back here. I hope others have a better experience."

"I have been here several times. Normally the food is pretty good. Today I ordered the cheese curds as usual with my kids. I took a bite and it was cold in the center. Not good! I immediately wanted the kids to stop eating them but apparently there were a couple that were ok as my teenagers said, “No, they are good!” But eventually they fell out too as they would take a bite into the cold ones and want no more of the cheese curds. My disappointment comes from the charging me half of the entree even though we clearly didn’t eat half. But because we did eat some of them we were charged. I think each of us had one good one and half of one bad one and I paid half the entree. To me that says you actually questioned me. So in that case I need to write a review. She knew what the issue was too when she came to the table. I would say I was disappointed with The Back 40 today. Not sure I will be visiting them again for awhile."

"sign says wait to be seated, finally was told take seat anywhere. others after us (just 2 of us) were given attention and coffee before us. took just under half hour before we got coffees. the place was not full but I believe had a busy time prior to us. they took our order and 10 minutes later they came back to say they ran out of pancake mix. my coffee was soon empty....no one came back ..other party with me had to order something else ....I expected my food would come before other but no , nothing , the place had several empty tables at this time and noted other tables came in after us served coffee and refill and even table (maybe a few) who came in after us already getting their food order I joked a bit before an hour that 5 minutes and I will just leave cash for the coffee....at around and hour other party with me just said enough...they explained to wait person we were leaving as it had been an hour . I realize service can be impacted by the number of customers and or being short staffed but it felt like we were ignored, don't think it was on purpose, but that they really don't care. I have been there in the past and it really is no big loss not impressed then and now with the poor service see no reason to go back"

"We visited on Sat May 28 2022 before noon to have a late breakfast/lunch. We were immediately shown to a table and ordered two breakfast buffets at less than $8 ea. Very nice with scrambled eggs, large sausages, sausage gravy and biscuits, mixed fruits, french toast and pancakes with syrup, fried potatoes and hash browns, and four types of mini donuts. Coffee, orange juice, and chocolate milk. There was a tall pie refrigerator and we bought four pies (Raspberry, Blueberry, Cherry, and Lemon Supreme Cheesecakes) for $24. We conversed with the older couple at the next table and found we had much in common. A very enjoyable start to the Memorial Day weekend."
