"Okie, I meant to give them 2.5 stars, only if I could on Yelps. Yes I am being nice. The service is alright, there's nothing to complain about, the servers are doing their jobs right, and they deserve these 2.5 stars from me. Being a returning customer, I used to think that Yagi is one of the few omakase that is worth going to. They used to charge around $65 and in Taiwanese culture we would call that high Cp level. I strongly think that the ownership has changed since the last time I visited. So, to sum up: 1. The biggest issue here today is that even we sat at the sushi bar, they serve 5 pieces of sushi on the plate at once instead of one at a time. Hello? Who does that? Please honor the tradition of Omakase. It's called chef's choice by its meaning. 2. 3 out of 5 pieces of sushi they served on the first plate (again, they serve 5 pcs at once, wth) you feel like you are chewing on the raw fish most of time, and it's absolutely disgusting. A bite of truffle and uni were only they tip of iceburg, not sure if I described them correctly probably not. The fish quality is not any better even with the fancy ingredients added. Again, I'm not hard to please when it comes to food. Personally, I would think it's impolite to spit out the food out in front of the chef and I did. So it's as bad as it sounds. 3. The best we had tonight is the dessert, panna cotta, or the maybe the sake we ordered. And that's not a compliment of course... I'm not giving one star since the staff are still doing their jobs here, and I respect and appreciate their efforts here. Obviously, they chefs are only doing their jobs without giving any passions (or maybe they just don't expect to see their customers having a good experience here at all. Maybe the local customers around the area are less critical than I am, but I know i am not being harsh at all, you just need to know it's my first time giving a negative feedback on Yelp. So the end of story: I won't be coming back! Sincerely, Stacy. Lol. Cheers to the old Yagi!"
