"Longtime Yagi patron here. We've come to really know and love Walter over the years. And we watched his sidekick, I believe his name is JD, grow as a sushi chef over the past few years. But...The young lady at the front was sitting there watching me and my wife clean the soy sauce and old fish off the sushi bar countertop. She's sitting at the front door, and I can see her watching us clean the countertops through the mirror. My wife used the restroom, and she was totally disgusted by the grossness.I became very upset and I did raise my voice because she's sitting there watching us clean. But someone had to do it!Sorry guys, it's no longer worth the trip from Myrtle Beach.By the way, when we were standing at the front door for 5 minutes for someone to seat us, she was busy refusing an order from a lady who wasn't ordering enough.That rude person told this patron that her order was not large enough. Sorry guys, if it was me, I wouldn't turn away anyone .....she walked out.REALLY?So, to wrap it up, one customer was turned away and one customer was kicked out.Unfortunately, we will never return."

Best hibachi I’ve had in a while . I live in North Carolina so this was so good for me and my family. I order 10 kids meals chicken shrimp. Every ones food was Hot and delicious the whole family enjoyed.Food: 5/5

Great Food Love Japanese Food. We had pork belly lettuce wraps and Scallops and shrimp Habatchi. All were cooked perfectly and very tasty. This was our 4 visit when in Pawley Island. They are very consistently good. View menu

Very nice place with plenty of affordable options. I absolutely love the tofu poke bowl. I was pretty nervous because I never tried it. To my surprise, it was very good vegetarian option that I would recommend to others. Table and bathrooms were cleaned; just some sand on underneath the table but it right near the beach which is great :D no complaints!

My rating is solely based on the level of service I was provided. The bartender/manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. A small (and easy to make) mistake occurred where we received the wrong takeout order. Completely understandable when the restaurant is busy and the team is juggling multiple things at once. We called back to notify the restaurant and ask what they would like for us to do. The bartender who had originally served us, was very rude. She assigned blame to me, and made it a very unenjoyable experience. When we returned the food, as instructed, I expressed my concerns with how she had acted.
