"I mentioned my interest in beer, and Joe eagerly recited the entire list of on-tap options, sharing delightful tidbits about each one. His enthusiasm was genuine, encouraging me to ask more questions. Every option sounded enticing, and he kindly invited me to sample a few. The menu was concise but filled with mouthwatering choices. I decided on the pizza with Tinto sauce, a suggestion inspired by Joe's insights, and paired it with an Earthbound brown ale. As I sipped the cool, frothy brew, my enjoyment grew alongside the enchanting music and the inviting atmosphere — a far cry from the usual pubs scattered throughout the city. Nostalgia bubbled up within me, transforming into a joyful grin as Joe entertained me with stories about the neighborhood, its history, and of course, beer. At that moment, I realized that Yaquis on Cherokee has become my new favorite place to eat and drink in St. Louis!"

Lovely place. Amazingly friendly staff. Fantastic pizza and great drink selection. Also some of STL's best musicians are often playing in the corner. I give Yaquis 5 stars!

Good service, pretty decent pizza from wood fired ovens. The jazz music on Tuesday night was spot on perfect. Dave Black and Jenna will have me coming back here on my next visit to St Louis on January 17.

I have been thinking about going to this place for a while now. The pizza was really good( I gave four stars because the crust was soft and the pizza kept falling apart). Good atmosphere, and service was great. View menu

What a hidden treasure! The restaurant boasts beautiful wooden floors and a stunning wooden bar that grabs your attention from the street. The wood-fired pizza oven is playfully decorated by both patrons and talented artists. With incredible handcrafted cocktails, a wide selection of beer and wine, delicious wood-fired pizzas, and friendly bartenders, Yaquis on Cherokee is the place to be!

The pizza here is outstanding! Whether you’re stopping by for dinner or brunch, the food is consistently delicious. They have a fantastic selection of beers, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is both relaxing and welcoming. However, if you hold homophobic or transphobic views, you might not appreciate the gender-neutral restrooms, which are single-user facilities with locking doors—reflecting that any discomfort is more about your own insecurities than anything else. It would take a genuinely unpleasant person to dislike this place, and honestly, it thrives even more without such negativity.
