"My husband and I were craving a hot bowl of soup on a rainy day, so we decided to visit Yaya Cafe for lunch. It was a Tuesday afternoon, but we were the only customers at the establishment, so we were promptly served by the friendly and attentive server. We ordered fried egg rolls for appetizers and two combination pho. There isn't much to say about their fried egg rolls; we got exactly what we expected. As for the pho, the broth was more on the clear and light end which wasn't a problem, but something that stood out from the other pho places we've been to in Austin. Both of us thought that there was a decent amount of rice noodles, but not enough meat for the combination we ordered. However, what surprised us the most was the price we paid for our food. With two bowls of pho and two pieces of fried egg rolls, we ended up paying over $50 including tip. The food was OK, but because of the price, we're not sure if we'll be coming back."

I’ve eaten here twice and I really enjoyed it both times. The pho, rice dishes, vermicelli dishes, and crepes are great!

Had the bánh mì sandwich which was tasty. Would be better if the bun was toasted but other than that, great sandwich. The owner is super friendly too!Food: 5/5

This is the cleanest Vietnamese food I've ever tasted! I’m not usually a fan of Pho, but I really enjoyed this one. Everything is prepared fresh to your liking. The restaurant itself was spotless, and I loved the decor. The service was quick and friendly. Food: 5/5. View menu

Wow! Everything here is so fresh and delicious. This place is truly a hidden gem in Austin. The rice—let me tell you, not all rice is the same. I have no idea where Yaya gets their rice, but it's outstanding. The charcoal chicken is delicious, and the pho is absolutely amazing.

I have only gotten takeout from here but every time I do they absolutely kill it. I love their chicken pho and just tried their bbq pork sandwich and both are amazing. The spring rolls are the most perfect spring rolls. Also the owner is so kind and personable. 10/10 on everything-absolutely love this place.

YaYa has the best Vietnamese coffee in town! By far best egg rolls I’ve ever had, food is all good and very fresh. Owner is a very down to earth, and personable. I went there frequently, for coffees and was always greeted like a friend and had very good conversations while waiting. Great locally owned restaurant! Thanks yaya!Food: 5/5 View menu

Pretty Sad portions for the price. The pictures on the website are a total hype. Just paid $30 (online convenience fee tip included) for a very light meal. Banh Mi was $10.50 and had more bread and jalapeno than anything else, barely any meat. Absolutely nothing special about the $7.50 spring rolls and $4.50 egg rolls. I ordered the Pork Shrimp Spring Rolls, only received Shrimp, and the rolls were terrible. Fish Sauce is usually .50 to $1 (if not free) almost anywhere you go, but it is $1.50 here. There are so many better/cheaper Vietnamese places in the area that offer larger portions and better flavor.

I liked the pho here. The owner was overly effusive for 8:15 PM, it was endearing. The banh mi was pretty good, kinda pricey but whatever. I wonder if these guys have been sweating (like I inevitably do each and every time after I eat an entire bowl of pho after putting sriracha in it LOL! since Sip set up shop down the street. But despite toeing in on their turf, the competition has, in a way, helped Yaya carve out a niche I have a feeling the dine in experience here is a lot more intimate and less hectic than Sip's (which in MY experience, is a f zoo . I may take my wife and little babygirl meat ball here soon.

"I literally just made a review but I’m going to make another one because for whatever reason someone or somehow it got deleted. I used to be a regular at Bouldin and the service was always amazing but my last two visits have been by far horrible. The service has been so poor that I felt disgusted when leaving the restaurant. There are two girls that work there with light brown hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure one of their names is Rego. My boyfriend and I were served by her before and she seemed nothing but annoyed and couldn’t care less if we were in her section. Barley even interacted with us or asked how our meal was and just seemed disgusted by us, just being rude passive aggressive for no reason at all. I’m a server and I KNOW this isn’t how you treat your guests and the same thing happened tonight. She just seemed like she couldn’t care less if we were there and just seemed annoyed? I don’t mind paying the gratuity if I’m being treated decently but that wasn’t the case and I feel as though they feel like they think they can get away with behaving like mean girls just because there’s a gratuity. I have friends that dine here as well and they have had the same experience. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to come across a managers attention so they know who they are hiring and how they are treating customers. Really disgusted and disappointing and if this gets deleted again I’ll write another review or just call the store to speak to a manager. Disgusted by their behavior."
