"The service and food here are consistently wonderful. We often visit the camping site. I have a funny story to share: I asked a young waitress if the grilled ham and cheese comes on a broth, and she said yes. I mentioned that some restaurants serve it on a hamburger bun, which I don't like. So I went ahead and ordered it, and guess what? It arrived on a hamburger bun!"

Amazing food and excellent service! The milkshakes are the best in the state, and the burgers are out of this world. I truly adore the nostalgic diner vibe! I can’t wait to come back again soon.

I have so many cherished memories of Yecks. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. It's like a time capsule with car hops, offering a glimpse of Americana. It's definitely worth a visit.

Always great service here and food. We always go here once while camping. However funny story. I asked the young waitress if the grilled ham and cheese comes on bread. She said yes. I said some restaurants put them on hamburger buns, and I don’t like them that way. So I ordered it. And there it was, on a hamburger bun. View menu

"I like to support local businesses and I wish I could give this place a 5 star. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this bar/restaurant nor will I ever go back The food was okay, but a Reuben should NOT be served on a hard hoagie bun. Reubens are on rye bread. I had to cut off the top of the top bun in order to eat it. Once I did that, the sandwich was good. My friend had a BLT and she said it was good. Onion rings were tasteless and greasy. Thankfully, I had requested some chipotle ranch dressing which we used as a dipping sauce then the onion rings were more edible. Twenty three dollars for that meal and 18% tip. Our waitress was great. She greeted us when we got there (she was also tending bar), brought menus and water, came back timely and took our orders. The food arrived quickly and was warm. So, the service and food were okay. It's the atmosphere it's grungy and just feels dirty in there. Our table top was sticky even though the waitress said she'd just cleaned it. My friend said her feet were sticking to the floor as she walked. It just felt and looked dirty in there and I don't want my food prepared someplace like that. If you want to go out, have a beer, grab something to eat and you're not overly worried about cleanliness you'd probably enjoy it. There did seem to be quite a few locals in there while we were there (from about 12:30pm to 1:30pm). I was at the bar about 8 years ago and it was a lot cleaner. Not now. I can't recommend this place. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1"

"The salads that came with our entrees were simple yet satisfying. In fact, my father mentioned that he usually doesn’t like croutons, but he really enjoyed the homemade ones sprinkled on his salad. It was all-you-can-eat Cod fish fry night, which my sister and her husband ordered. Justin made sure they had more than enough, regularly checking in to ensure they were getting their fill. They had no complaints; in fact, they ended up eating more Cod than usual because it was so delicious. My parents each had the one-pound deep-fried Shrimp, which looked fantastic, and my mom declared it was "the best" she’s ever had (although she said that last time too, haha!). My husband and I ordered the Michigan Lake Perch with potato wedges—absolutely delicious! If you enjoy thick, seasoned potato wedges that are lightly fried, you definitely have to try them! Then came dessert! We enjoyed Lemon Meringue Pie, Sizzling Apple Pie with crumble and caramel syrup and vanilla ice cream (very sweet but perfect for October!), Cheesecake with caramel syrup drizzle, and Cheesecake with cherries and caramel syrup drizzle. All of them were wonderful and made for a perfect ending to our tasty dinner. Sheri, who I believe is the manager/owner, stopped by our table a couple of times to chat, which was nice to see as she interacted with patrons throughout the restaurant. A big shout-out to the kitchen staff, as without them, there would be no food, and they often work behind the scenes. One of the great things about a restaurant like this is that you see familiar faces; diners walk over to other tables to say hello or sit and socialize, creating a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. There are fireplaces at both ends of the dining area, but I found it a bit cool sitting away from the warmth, so I’d recommend bringing a sweater or wearing layers. We were early diners, arriving shortly after they opened at 4 PM, and the restaurant filled up nicely within an hour without feeling overwhelming. If you're looking for a pleasant ambiance, high-quality staff, and tasty food, I highly recommend trying Great Lakes Grill. The menu offers a variety of choices, all at very affordable prices."
