"came here on a Tuesday night, dead as can be, the host was extremely friendly and informative, letting us know right away that they will not be serving sushi until next year but there are also other great selection. according to my boyfriend, the decor of this place hasnt been changed at all since the last time he was here which was 10 years go. you can see the thick layer of dust that had gather on the drapes. the decor aside, i have to give this place 4 stars because the host was extremely on it! we got the all you can eat, and because we came before 6 we get two free appetizer(no sushi)(the wrap was a little burnt but was good, the chicken karaage was meh), we wanted the szechuan hot pot, she said it was spicy, it wasnt really... but she also mention that if it wasnt spicy enough she can add more hot pepper. all the meat were pre cut, so we didnt have to wait very long for the next tray. its a little pricey for what it is... and that might be the ultimate reason why this would be a one time deal for us."

All-you-can-eat is a pretty good deal. Extremely friendly and caring owners. They even gave me chocolates for valentines day!

we have eaten twice here and had a lot of fun both paintings. the restaurant has no alcohol license right now, so no cocktails or rather to go with the food. View menu

This place is great for a new type of cuisine. The food is fresh and there is a lot of variety. That being said it is expensive for the all you can eat option. The sushi should be considered only a side because that is clearly not their forte and there is a lot of rice with minimal fish. Stick with the small dishes which are excellent, especially the mussels. The service was excellent and they were very attentive.

We were really excited when we found this 4-plus star “Japanese” restaurant through the Open Table search. Their food wasn’t bad, it’s just that we expect certain things when we order from a Japanese menu. For example, garlic miso ramen means to us, a ramen noodle dish in garlic miso ramen soup. Or if we see wakame salad, we look forward to wakame in salad... Maybe this restaurant should be in Asian fusion category? Despite our disappointment in food, we managed to have a good evening thanks to really pleasant serving staff.

This was our first time eating at a hot pot restaurant. The service was prompt and the staff had helpful explanations of how to cook our meal. The produce was fresh as were the meats we chose. We arrived at 6:15 for an 8:00 theatre and had no difficulty with the timing. The only challenge is that the veggie pieces were large and became a bit messy when trying to cook+eat with chopsticks. When we return, we will order specific veggies that fit our tastes, but trying the fixed price meal for our first time there was the way to go. View menu

The inside is very nice and hidden from the main street so it's not too loud. It's a nice place to eat outside in the winter because they have heaters so it's cozy to me. The shabu shabu is expensive so if you want it, then for it. I really like the lunch time specials here, especially their noodle dishes. They give you soup (tastes good), salad (tastes good), gyozas (tastes good) and a big bowl of noodles. The price is really great for lunch time and the food is great. The waitress for the afternoon is so sweet and is very attentive. I highly recommend coming here for lunchtime rather than dinner hours.

My daughter and I love shabu shabu. But boy, one can run up the bill very quickly for ingredients that cost nothing. We ended up spending nearly $100 (including tip in order to split one portion of shabu shabu (they charge an $8 addition to split an order , i had a beer, she had a canned ginger ale, and we had two rolls (california and dragon . Very skimpy on the vegetables. I'd come alone with the expectation of dropping nearly $50 (They are on average of shabu shabu pricing in the Bay Area. it is a bit of a game. I don't see bringing my 11-year-old daughter back. It is just too expensive. Servers were nice.
