"So the place that used to be here had also been a favourite place, so I was sad to see it go, but I had to give this place a try. I mean, I can never turn down sushi. We made a reservation for my birthday and I'm glad we did, it was packed. It did empty out though near the end. I ordered two things of sushi, some shumai, and dumplings. My dad ordered the wonton for two and I forget what else and my mum ordered a green bean dish and a dish that has chicken, shrimp, beef and vegetables in it. My only issue was my parents got their main courses and I had to wait maybe five more minutes for my sushi. But I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it was busy and I ordered two specialty rolls. My parents made a bigger deal out of it than I did because I know making and rolling sushi takes time. Plus it was busy. For dessert my mum and I ordered the chocolate mousse and my dad ordered the Creme Brule. The chocolate dusting of a fork on the dish was weird, but I found it funny and unique. The desserts were heaven. The wait staff was super nice and the owner is really cool. He came and chatted with us for ten or so minutes. We came back the next week and all our appetizers came out at the same time and all our entrees, including my three orders of sushi, came out at the same time. We went around 5pm for the second dinner and it hadn't gotten packed yet. My only complaint, I got the tea with bubbles and the bubbles were horrible. The tea was also super strong so I had to mix in more water to weaken it. But I also don't like super sweet and strong teas, so the tea might be fine for someone else, but for me it tasted bad."

"Happened to be in this area, and saw this place. I know it 's been around a while, but had never seen it before in my life. I was just in the mood for a couple of slices of pizza and coffee, so I figured what the hell! As I walked in I saw a sign for the Dairy Cottage. Seems this place might be related to that. I took it as a good sign as I enjoy the Dairy Cottage. Signs aren 't always what they 're cracked up to be. I 'll say that I wanted to like this place. I like mom and pop places with diner counters. Judging by other reviews here, I 'll say that service is better. There were two young ladies working and they were nice. The gentleman at the cash register was nice too. I 'll also say that I have a feeling that if I had ordered a sandwich, or breakfast, I might have liked it better judging by the reviews. But I tried the pizza, and it 's quite easy to describe. I can describe it one of two ways. It reminded me of the pizza they served me at lunch in elementary school. Remember the line in Saturday Night Fever where Travolta 's father said Your mother 's sauce don 't drip. It don 't taste, and it don 't drip. Yep, this sauce don 't taste at all and there was barely enough to drip. The oregano sprinkled on the slices didn 't improve matters. Sorry. I 'm sure this place has good enough sandwiches. But if your name says pizza in it, you gotta take some pride in the pizza and do better than that."

"I used to frequent this place in the am on my way to work. Today (March 2022) the DD app was showing a technical glitch upon payment. I went into the store anyway naively thinking it was something I could fix inside. Perhaps showing the person at the desk and getting help in order to make my purchase. Needless to say the person at the counter was impatient and rude right off the bat. He had zero interest in being helpful and instead flatly asked whether I had money in the account, even though he saw the message on my app about a technical issue I suspected he was the manager, and I confirmed by asking him. I fixed the problem by changing my order and left without any help from him.I initially posted this review the same day with more detail. But I revised it because the important part of my review is that the manager is not good with customers. Either he doesn't have the people skills for the type of work he is doing or he just doesn't like helping people. Obviously not everyone frequents businesses where they like the staff working there. I happen to be that sort of person. My DD in Media is efficient and friendly. So I will now keep my purchases at DD to their location. Overall this location is among the DD's where the staff could improve their customer service skills and I go to about five in the area. This one and the Springfield location off Sproul Road have the rudest employees. Swarthmore and Media the best!"
