"A ! I definitely recommend a visit to NSD, and although I 'm still not happy Advance Auto Parts turned me away for being too early, I am very happy about my lunch here while I wait. I had a diet Coke to start with, and must say that while other restaurants are shrinking the portions, that doesn 't appear to be the case here. In fact, quite the opposite! Now, the French onion soup was served hot as the sun in a standard sized crock with a handle built in (spin the serving plate, do NOT touch the handle at first! , and it was quite nice. The provolone was gooey in the center with a light crust on the edge. The bread, onions and soup were just as you 'd expect them to be with a hint more seasoning involved so you could describe it any way except bland, because it was not. Good to the last drop, which I tipped the bowl to get after it had cooled a bit. The open faced turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and yellow gravy was very tasty, and if your stomach is sensitive to seasonings and hot flavorings you can feel confident ordering this. Your stomach will thank you! Temperature-wise, it was served hot enough but not too much, and the portion size filled my plate. If you 're just looking for a comfort food meal that 's not going to rock the boat for sensitive stomachs and tender tummies, this will be a good choice for you. The service at the counter was good, and they had MacGyver on the TV above the pass-thru from the kitchen, so you 'll forget about any of the short to normal wait times for your food items. If I had to give one negative about the place just to prove I 'm not an employee or a paid sponsor, I 'd say that today, June 30, 2022, it was a bit warmer inside than I expected. Hot near a kitchen? Go figure, right?!! Maybe the AC wasn 't turned on? Maybe it 's acting up? All in all it 's not a deal breaker. Stop in and grab a bite to eat. Car parking up front and on the Sunoco side, and truck parking north of the building and out back. How much truck parking? You can probably fit 20 or 30 trucks near the Diner, and more next door behind Sunoco and across the street at the Sheetz truck stop. If Arnold Schwarzenegger ever eats here, I 'd fully expect him to say, I 'll be back!"
