"I recently discovered Mandro Teahouse with my friends after getting Thai food at Simply Thai next door, and it quickly became our favorite dessert place! Located in Newark, California, this teahouse is also known to have a Milpitas location, which we plan to check out soon. But for now, we are absolutely obsessed with their Mango Bing Sue, which has become our go-to treat. The Mango Bingsoo at Mandro Teahouse is simply amazing! It's creamy, refreshing, and the perfect balance of sweetness. The mangoes are always fresh, sweet, and perfectly ripe, and they generously pile them on top of the shaved ice. The portion size is generous, and the large is super filling, making it a satisfying dessert option. One of the best parts is the condensed milk that you can pour over the top, adding an extra layer of richness and flavor to the dish. It's a perfect combination of creamy, sweet, and refreshing, especially in the summertime. No wonder Mandro Teahouse is always busy, no matter what time of day or week it is. Even on weekdays, it can be hard to find seating, especially during the summer when school/college lets out. But it's worth the wait because the quality of the shaved ice is top-notch, and the flavors are exceptional.Apart from the Mango Bingsoo, Mandro Teahouse also offers a variety of boba and shaved ice options on their menu. The boba is of excellent quality, with a good chewy texture and a wide range of flavors to choose from. The shaved ice comes with a variety of toppings like fresh fruit, mochi, and more, allowing you to customize your dessert to your liking. The presentation of the shaved ice is also aesthetically pleasing, making it perfect for snapping some Instagram-worthy photos. The service at Mandro Teahouse is friendly and efficient, despite the busy crowds. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and is always willing to help with recommendations or any questions you may have. The lighting inside the teahouse is also great for taking photos of the shaved ice, adding to the overall experience. The location/venue of Mandro Teahouse is convenient, with easy access from the nearby Thai restaurant and other surrounding areas. The ambiance inside the teahouse is casual and trendy, with a modern and clean interior. It's a popular spot for dessert lovers, and the buzzing atmosphere adds to the overall experience. In conclusion, Mandro Teahouse is the best place for shaved ice in Fremont by far. With their delicious Mango Bingsoo, extensive menu options, friendly service, and trendy ambiance, it's no wonder they are always packed with customers. If you're looking for a refreshing and satisfying dessert experience, Mandro Teahouse is a must-visit spot!"

"Yikes! This place has gone way downhill from the pre-Covid days. It used to be a decent place for hot pot... decent price for decent food. It was never top quality hot pot, but it was... decent. Our latest trip there was NOT decent. We were looking for a hot pot place that wouldn 't break the bank for my son 's birthday since he likes hot pot. We decided to go to Lavender since we haven 't been here since Covid started. Upon arrival, the restaurant was pretty much empty. A huge party just finished and left, and we were led to the table next to this where this huge party was. Keep this in mind..... My mom first witnesses a waitress take the uneaten plates of meat off of the vacated tables near us and place them back onto the robot server. Being alarmed, she asked if they reuse the meat. Of course the waitress denied it. So already 2 red flags in (empty restaurant the possibility of reusing meat), we still sat down to eat because it was starting to get late and we were getting hungry. At the moment, they only offer beef and lamb... very frozen cuts that are paraded around on the robot server and left there for god knows how long. The broth has also gone downhill. The coconut chicken used to be one of my favorite broths. They would bring an actual coconut and crack it at the table, pouring the juices into the broth and then also scraping the coconut meat into the broth. It was delicious! Now... IDK. I think they just splash some coconut water into regular water and call it a day. Really such a shame. The buffet bar with the veggies and other miscellaneous items was equally bad. There were flies everywhere and although the sauce bar is extensive, it was dirty and not tended to. Speaking of which, the entire restaurant was dirty and unattended. The decor that seemed charming when they first opened now seem dark and dirty. Remember that huge party that left before we got there? Their table was never bussed the entire time we were there. Imagine trying to enjoy a meal next to that mess! I think they make most of their money renting out that party section behind the restaurant, where we heard really terrible karaoking being blasted through to the rest of the place. I 'm no Whitney, but if you 're gonna have karaoke then you need to have a door or something to make the eating experience better for your other customers. Here 's the kicker... as we were leaving, more people for the karaoke party were arriving and they BROUGHT THEIR OWN FOOD! It would be funny if it wasn 't so damn sad. So we won 't be returning. I also hate that the owner just sits there and all he does is cashier duties. It shows the lack of care he has for his business that he 's ok with paying customers dining next to a table of dirty dishes. He wasn 't willing to roll up his sleeves and clear the dishes, or help his obviously overworked staff. Sad... the hot pot competition is getting fierce so I don 't see them staying open for very much longer, especially since they already seem to be circling the drain."
