"I love the atmosphere and vibe of the downtown Jalapenos location. I like to kick things off with a cup of their distinctive chicken tortilla soup. It’s a hearty soup featuring a wonderful mix of stringy cheese, tender avocado, shredded chicken, and crispy tortilla strips. Their margaritas are consistently excellent, and my chicken quesadilla was wonderfully simple yet delicious. The staff tried to explain the first two missing items, but when I mentioned the third item, I was transferred to the manager. He assured me he would resolve the issue and have it delivered. To my surprise, he not only sent the missing item but also remade the entire order correctly. I was genuinely impressed by this level of customer service, especially after the initial excuses."

"This spot is not fancy or gourmet in any way, but the food is consistently good and the price is more than fair. They have a large selection of Japanese foods like ramen, udon, sushi, katsu, curry, and donburi bowls. Overall, the food has been quite good. It's not amazing like Fukada or Sagami, but it's also quite a bit less expensive than those two spots. So what I'm saying is in terms of price versus value, it's good. And it's pretty fast, making it good when you're in a rush."

"A little hard to find definitely. Atmosphere is great, decor is vivid and themed. Food selection is beyond what’s expected. I personally loved the “Chicken Milanesa” perfectly crafted tender chicken breast filets. Their French fries(the only thing I remembered to take a picture of) were really good and hefty portioned. The drinks were great! I found this place accidentally but will absolutely come back. The staff was experienced, respectful (not to many interruptions while eating) and offered a pleasant experience."

"We visit relatives in Carpentaria CA and decided to try Rudy's based on a local recommendation. They have a very limited menu and seem to specialize in crispy tacos. My wife ordered the crispy Taco combination and I ordered the chicken sauce. Everything was ready to order and all ingredients were fresh. The crispy tacos were very good. My salad was good, but the turret dress is very dirty. The salad was much better after giving her salsa and cilantro. Our largest edition is its limited menu. If you want to order the same thing again, they are great, but we prefer more variety."

"Holy moly, delicious! Everything was tasty. Good starter salsa, excellent beans and rice. The pozole was traditional in taste and perfect. Not spicy at all. The chicken flautas had green Chile which was a pleasant surprise. The tamale was moist which is where most restaurants get it wrong. Carne asada was traditional in flavor as well. Ice cream with churro! Very beautiful inside with a full bar. I am picky and will be going back for more. Family owned."

"Fresca is a great spot for a family meal featuring quick and decent American-style Mexican food. Having experienced a lot of Mexican cuisine in California and Mexico, I can say that while this place offers good value for the price, it's not truly "traditional." A big plus is that the salsas are always fresh and have a nice kick to them. I have a strong tolerance for spice, but they can sometimes pack a punch! The prices are very affordable, and if my wife and I order a dish, the kids eat for free—yes, FREE! We often enjoy meals here for under $20, unless we treat ourselves to beer or flan. It’s a favorite of ours for a fast, budget-friendly meal."

"My husband tried to pick us up a couple of burritos. He ordered two of the same thing straight from the menu. He drove home about 10 miles away, and we discovered that they had put shrimp in our burritos rather than chicken. We called in to receive a refund, and we were told that we had to drive back to the store to receive the refund even though we used ApplePay for the purchase. So my husband drove back down, burritos in hand, and was treated rudely and not offered anything in compensation, such as perhaps the correct order… I then called in again to request that they give us our order, and I was hung up on. Yikes! It’s a bit overpriced for what it is from the start, and you can’t count on getting what you ordered or being offered any sort of decent customer service."

"Stopped here for dinner on the 21st on our way back to the South Bay from Fresno wanted something near the Costco in Bakersfield where we stopped for gas. My travel companion wanted Mexican food so I looked on Trip Advisor for reviews which normally a reluable resource. This time it wasn't. Based on the great reviews from TripAdvisor we chose this restaurant. We arrived around 5pm... It was a little busy. There was only one server as the others were late for their shift. There were little gnats flying around in the window by our seat so we moved one chair over... 20 minutes later the after work crowd arrived and it became very busy. We ordered our drinks and when my friend's diet Coke arrived she said it tasted very off so ended up exchanging it for a regular Cola. We ordered the guacamole appetizer. The guacamole was three scoops and very good but the flour tortillas they put with it weren't. Ended up eating the corn tortilla chips that they put on the table with salsa. My friend ordered enchiladas I ordered fajitas. 20 min later my friend received her enchiladas and they brought out the sizzling platter for my fajitas but no accompanying beans, guacamole, pico. They don't include sour cream as most places do so I ordered that they said it would be a little extra. The other servers ended up coming in. After waiting another 10 minutes for the rest of my dinner to arrive I got up from my table to ask them how much longer it would be and then heard them ordering rice and beans when I specifically said no rice and had to remind them of that. A few minutes later the beans and guacamole and tortillas were brought to the table. At this point my friend was almost done eating and had to wait for me. I started putting a fajita together and when I put my knife into the little ball of guacamole to add it was hard as a rock. I thought it might possibly be frozen so I said something to the server who brought another scoop. We'd been there over an hour and needed to get back on the road I ended up taking about half of my entree home. When the bill came the little extra for the sour cream was $1.75 about a large teaspoon worth. I spoke to the server about this cost and it was removed. I'm fine with paying 50 or 75 cents but $1. 75 was outrageous. I didn't look up menu prices on TripAdvisor, just looked at menu and dollar signs which showed it to be average prices. This restaurant charges LA City prices... Tab for 2 midpriced entrees, guacamole appetizer soda and a can of beer came to $67. With a 20% gratuity added the bill was over $80. When I got home and had my left overs the next day turns out that what I thought was frozen guacamole was actually an avocado pit that had been covered with guacamole and put on my plate. Photo attached. Couple days later called and spoke to a manager who said he would let the general manager know about our experience and I should receive a return call. I didn't. Called back Friday eve and got the server who had served us who said that she had told the manager nothing was wrong and to check the cameras and that they would see that everything was fine. This Is The Place To Go only if you want overpriced and poorly served meals."

"I had a wonderful experience andrade? I can't compare it with the Mexican food in the country because I haven't been there, but I discovered roads tacos in Mexican located in food trucks in la, portland and seattle and I love it! Andrade?s tacos were just as delicious, but what was more impressive for me was the friendliness of the staff and our waitress, marcela an amazing profi with 17 years experience in the business. marcela delivered great instructions on the menu and made sure that my order was tailored to my very, very specific taste, she also discussed the differences between margaritas, clearly the proportions and balance of liqueurs: our visit to this bright, colorful place was excellent and my more sensitive sweet was happy: that means eating fresh and properly treated. not many pictures of eating and drinking? because I enjoyed everything so much when I thought of booking a review, I was almost finished with everything! There is almost forgotten a beautiful and great wall painting on one of the walls that was the perfect background for our pictures: not to do anything with eating yourself, but enjoying a fun artwork during lunch?"
