"This was one of the few places open after 9:00 PM in the Philadelphia area near our hotel. I ordered the 10-piece sweet spicy wings and requested them to be extra crispy since I'm not a fan of soggy skin. This restaurant clearly knows how to prepare wings because they were so crispy they were almost dry, and the chicken practically fell off the bone. They were absolutely delicious! I'll definitely return if I'm ever in Philly again, but I won't ask for them to be extra crispy next time. I don’t recall the server's name, but he was really friendly. My order of 10 wings cost $14, which is a bit pricey, but they were totally worth it!"

"I ordered what was supposed to be catfish, but it didn't taste like catfish at all. Even farm-raised catfish has some flavor, and I usually try to avoid it. My wife ordered the gyro, but it didn't resemble an authentic gyro you'd find in a Greek or Mediterranean restaurant. It was also excessively salty, and the tahini sauce had a flavor more like diluted onion dip. To top it off, there were no paper towels in the restroom."

"I ordered a grilled shrimp salad delivered and it was fried shrimp when it arrived. I called the restaurant and the guy who answered the phone said: what you want me to do about it? I told him I wanted a grilled shrimp salad sent to me like I ordered. He said I would have to come to the store for them to be able to do anything about it. If I was interested in driving across town I wouldn't have ordered DELIVERY. I asked to speak to a manager and instead of letting me do that the guy just hung up on me. I just wasted $20 on a salad I can't eat and the restaurant offers zero assistance. The picture of the salad on their website even has grilled shrimp on it!"

"The food was good. We ordered a 3 piece chicken fingers, fries and med. drink and a Wagon Wheel burger, fries and medium drink. But, we were some how charged with two tickets totaling $28+. I spoke with the person in charge and was told they had not made a mistake. I let it go but it seemed too much to us for what we got. No use pursuing.... Traveling so will not be stopping again. "Amir's is a small convenience store that serves the best fried chicken and catfish I've ever tasted! Everything is freshly prepared, battered, and cooked to order. The chicken is exceptionally tender and juicy, perfectly coated with a crispy crust. The catfish is equally delicious. It's also the only place I know that offers gizzards, though they could use some improvement. While flavorful, they tend to be overcooked and tough. They would be excellent if boiled first to tenderize before being quickly fried. Don’t forget to ask for the lemon pepper seasoning after cooking—that really sealed the deal for me!"
