"We were late for our reservation, but Chuck's kindly held the table for us. Tableside Caesar salad was amazing. Our mains were bit of a wait, but before we could complain, our server apologized and they appeared shortly after. Amazing food and portions were well suited. Our steaks were perfectly done! Due to the small delay in our mains, manager sent over a sinful skor Sundae that although we were much too full for, we devoured. Excellent service and kudos to management for staying on top of service."

"Loved the former version of this place since JHS (formerly known as Tokyo Teriyaki). It was a literal hole in the wall next to the 112th precinct run by an old couple. When they retired, the new owners apprenticed with them to learn the recipes and they've certainly mastered a few. They opened under a new name/new space and while it certainly isn't the exact same, they've kept a few things consistent: amazing ginger dressing great fried chicken rolls (never really loved the raw fish rolls from this place) solid chicken teriyaki sandwiches. As much as I intend to, I never really deviate from these items because they're the best (in my opinion). I recommend!"

"I absolutely love this place! I'm a big fan of sushi, and while I used to have a favorite spot that my family frequented—mainly because I was familiar with their menu—the quality of their food has declined recently. Oishi, on the other hand, is conveniently located close to our home and consistently offers a quality menu. It's a family-owned business, like many Asian restaurants, and I really believe in supporting local establishments. The restaurant may be small, but it has a romantic and intimate atmosphere, making it perfect for a nice evening out or even a casual lunch. Plus, their prices are very reasonable and affordable. I often order from here, and my husband (who isn't pictured) always brings me sushi from Oishi when I'm feeling down. It always lifts my spirits!"

"Amazing! The food and service were outstanding. Amy was incredibly helpful and friendly, and our meals arrived quickly even on a busy night. We ordered the scorpion bowl, hot sake, spicy crab meat/kani salad, crab rangoons, miso soup, all star roll, and chicken teriyaki. Everything was delicious, and we will definitely return for more. Looking forward to trying the sushi boat on our next visit!"

"I was here once a few years ago and had great three cup chicken. Today, I had Dragon Phoenix. That's General Tso's chicken and shrimp. The sauce on the shrimp was like if someone tried to make cocktail sauce but failed and ended up with bad runny ketchup. General Tso's chicken is supposed to have some heat to it. I could see the pepper flakes but I couldn't taste them. The fried rice was bland and had nothing but rice and a bit of soy sauce for color, but not enough to taste, and a little black pepper. The pepper was a nice addition but it was overall bland and made me think they figured out how to make it by simply hearing someone say but not describe fried rice and trying to replicate it. The egg roll was equally simplistic but it was at least good."

"Bamboo House food was fantastic across the board. The wonton soup, spring rolls, and look mean were about as authentic as you can buy anywhere. Two issues: we wanted our rice in separate containers from our meal so that the rice did not soak up all the juices from the meal. First we were told they could not do it, then told we would be charged for an entire order of white rice for using two extra rice containers. That is over the top, so we declined. Second issue was that an employee(s) charged off more than reported on a delivery order on 5/7/19. Bamboo House charged $42.06 on a 35.00 food order delivery. It is unclear whether or not the delivery person had the ability to do this, or the initial order taker, but sure enough I checked the transactions in my account this afternoon and the pending debit is for more than the reported amount due. This issue was fixed within two business days, and funds were returned to card, but it was a hassle nonetheless. Food is great, just watch for extra charges for requested items and by mistake."

"This is a cute cozy place. It was my first time here. I got the Hawaiian meat combination plate that comes with rice macaroni salad. I substituted veggies for the rice asked for curry sauce on the side. If you like curry, it comes not spicy at all but you can ask to get it spicier. They make the Teriyaki sauce in house which is good on the mild sweet side. My friend really liked the fried rice. Thai iced tea was nice too."

"Definitely a staple of ours! We order here frequently and it is always delicious. The sesame chicken is some of the best we've had and I always get the 108 Spicy Chicken as is a favorite of mine. I work across the street and can order a lunch meal and eat on it for 3 days. The portions are generous and prices are fair. Plus, what I am guessing are the owners, always greet us with a smile and are so appreciative of everyone that walks through their door."

"Also, the soy sauce they use is the dark variety, which is perfect for dipping sushi; it’s so much better than the lighter kind that tastes more like tamari. They allowed me to upgrade my lunch special ($13), which comes with three rolls and a garden salad, to a seaweed salad for a small extra charge—and it was absolutely worth it. Additionally, not shown in the pictures, but my son loves plain white rice, and it was cooked perfectly—not hard at all. I'll definitely be back frequently! I really hope they bring back dine-in options one day!"

"The craving was overwhelming. It was 9:37 PM, and with just a short time until closing at 10:00, I jumped in my car, driven by hope and determination. Eleven minutes later, I walked through the door, full of optimism and smiles. Two ladies behind the counter greeted me warmly. I mentioned that I understood if they couldn't cook since it was nearly closing time. To my delight, not only did they prepare the food, but they also had their talented chef in the back whipping up a storm. I just ordered some steak hibachi, and they ended up providing me with generous portions—enough to last me for a few days! Thank you so much, everyone. I’m a customer for life!"

"To be honest, the food was disappointing. We tried the shoyu ramen, sushi doughnut, sushi taco, and takoyaki. The doughnut was acceptable, but the taco lacked any flavor, the ramen was bland, and the bonito flakes on the takoyaki seemed spoiled. On top of that, the staff were rude from the moment we arrived. I won’t be returning."
