"Not a very Monday night. No host at the check in stand. Someone eventually came to us and sat us down. The manager came by and told us about the specials that night, but that was the last we saw of him. The waitress eventually came over to take our drinks order. She had ZERO personality, didn 't even introduce herself or say hello, just straight into what do you want to drink. We stuck to water and waited another 5 minutes for her to come back to take our food order. She seemed very disinterested in being there, had no smile and barely spoke above a whisper! We asked for the small pizza to share as a starter, and a main course each. The main course arrived 15 minutes later with no pizza. Then a few minutes later, the pizza came out. The fish curry was bland with barely any curry flavor, mostly just coconut milk, and the curry was served on the plate over the rice. I would expect any restaurant calling itself a bistro would serve either the rice or the curry on the side. The pizza was supposed to be prosciutto but it was really pancetta cubes not prosciutto. Other than that the pizza was OK. Also order the nightly special lobster sandwich. Bread was very soft and tasty, lobster was tender and nicely cooked. Fries were tasty and super crunchy. Overall, service was terrible, food was mostly bland and not very exciting (with the exception of the lobster sandwich). No atmosphere in this place. Despite the fact there was only 3 other tables occupied, the wait staff never once checked up to see how the food was or if we needed anything. Had to get attention to get more water, and again at the end to get the check. It 's fine as a Marriott Courtyard hotel bar/restaurant, but definitely not what I would expect for a Bistro in Palo Alto/Los Altos. Won 't be back."

"Three of us ordered the chicken parmesan, and one person opted for the ribeye steak. Let's begin with the steak: it arrived nearly raw. We sent it back for further cooking, but it came back almost the same, now adorned with a peculiar butter that did nothing for it. It was also lacking in flavor and seasoning. As for the chicken parmesan, it consisted of rigatoni noodles topped with a fettuccine sauce and a small piece of grilled chicken with a sprinkle of red sauce. This was not chicken parmesan by any stretch of the imagination. We spoke with the management to share our concerns about the meal, and they were very polite, understanding, and professional. Our waitress was also excellent and sympathetic to our situation. They did treat us well concerning the bill, and I would love to return, but only if they change chefs. The management even informed us that there had indeed been a chef change since our last visit. By the way, when my son exited his prom, the first thing he mentioned was that the food was terrible. Later, when we returned his tuxedo, the staff asked us how everything went. We told them the tux was fine, but my son reiterated that the food was the highlight of the night because it was so bad. They laughed and said that's a common sentiment they’re hearing from others returning their tuxedos. (We rented my son’s tux from Fifty Fifty in Sinking Spring, and their service was excellent.) I hope the Hilton makes some improvements soon; otherwise, I don't think they’ll have a bright future ahead."
