"The fried red snapper, on the other hand, was even more unappetizing. It looked like a processed, pre-breaded, frozen fish fillet—essentially a larger version of a Gordon's fish stick. Fresh fish should never look so unappealing. Considering the price, I expected it to be freshly filleted, but instead, it was dry and rubbery, likely freezer burnt. I found it inedible and ended up spitting it out; it was that bad. I made sure to inform the manager of my dissatisfaction.
Their serving of coleslaw was disappointingly small, served in a tiny condiment cup, which felt particularly stingy given how inexpensive coleslaw is. The taste wasn’t much better—too much mayonnaise and lacking any tang. As for the fries, they were the larger portion size, probably because fries are cheap and filling, allowing the restaurant to maximize profits while serving minimal amounts.
Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant. The server did comp a third of the price of the grouper, which I appreciated and I don't hold against him. However, the snapper, which was even worse, wasn’t comped at all. We left very disappointed, and I won't be coming back. I genuinely don't understand how this place has received so many positive reviews."
