"Went with a party of 10, and with a large variety of menu options, all apps entrees were delicious and filling! Excellent cooked steak and large schnitzel portions. The live band, The Allwells, were quite good. Music levels were enough to hear the band, but still converse. Great selection of music, and the band took requests. There were many patrons dancing on the dance floor and The Allwells made for a very memorable and fun evening. The Bier Markt has a large selection of beer options, with a knowledgeable, accommodating staff. Shout out to our server, Van who did a great job looking after our partys' many requests. I highly recommend The Bier Markt for a great meal and fun night out great for date night, drinks with friends or for a large party. They also have a large outdoor patio which was filled to capacity the night we went. We will definitely be back!"

"I ordered the steak frites, Margherita bread, and I think there was a misunderstanding with the waitress because I’m not sure if she thought I was just reading the menu out loud. The food came out fairly quickly, but the steak frites were served last. My disappointment began when I saw that the steak was placed on a grill; I prefer it to be pan-seared first before grilling. Regardless, I cut into it, and it was perfectly medium-rare. However, there was absolutely no salt and pepper on the steak, vegetables, or fries. To make matters worse, they topped my steak with barbecue sauce, which completely ruined the dish. I was quite dissatisfied with the customer service and felt it was absurd to ruin a $30 New York strip steak like that. On a positive note, the atmosphere was great. The place had a good crowd, and everyone seemed happy. It was airy, so I have no complaints in that regard."

"My wife and I had a wonderful time here. The owner and his wife were very friendly to us, and the food was absolutely top notch. We were treated with some jazz tunes that the owner played on the key, and he invited us to play a little (we are both musicians). The meat was tender and tasteful (we tried only about any kind they had and brought some home for the children's cans). The corn bread was sweet and moist. The sauces were great too! We're coming back! The owner says they usually have live music on Fridays and Saturdays (we were here on a Wednesday during a sun game, so it was somehow calm)."

"the burger I had was absolutely delicious. the sweet potato friars were crispy and the honey scabbard for the fries was perfect. the cheesecake wasn't that good I should have got the apple cake. the service was great, about my expectations. I expect a lot. I was disappointed because I got the cheesecake with me, he was told drizzle, but it had definitely thirsty in it. I'm tired of going home and taking a sudafed, because my guttered and I found it hard to breathe. I explained to crystallize the waitress, I was allergic, but she said it was heavenly. I tried to scrape the excess, but I couldn't eat the cake. she left it on the bill and didn't look back. she sent someone else to put the bill. disappointed."

"This was our second visit, and I believe we've started a winter tradition since my husband works at Everglades. The atmosphere is wonderfully welcoming, and the staff is extremely friendly. The restrooms were clean, which is always a plus. The menu boasts a fantastic variety of choices. Our son loved the Corn Dog Nuggets and sweet potatoes from the kids' menu, while my husband enjoyed the brisket paired with hush puppies and corn soufflé. I chose the brisket burger topped with cheesy jalapeños and sweet potato soufflé. Everything was delicious and satisfying. We highly recommend this place and will definitely return. "The portions were generous, and the food was simply delicious—so good that it was finger-licking worthy. Even my mother, who is very particular about her meat, thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the brisket. We’re definitely looking to use their catering again for Thanksgiving or other occasions. It was so convenient, and everyone loved the food! The sides were delightful, and I highly recommend trying the hush puppies, mac and cheese, and cornbread with honey butter. The pulled pork and BBQ sauces that came with it were also fantastic. I can't wait to return and support this local business again. I recommend it to anyone who appreciates delicious BBQ and top-notch customer service!"

"I visited this restaurant for a complimentary Veterans Day breakfast buffet and returned a week later to enjoy breakfast with my young daughter. The service was quick and exceptionally friendly. The menu offered a wide variety of choices, all of which were surprisingly good quality, well-prepared, and flavorful. The menu specials provide excellent value for money. The dining area is spacious, well-lit, and accommodating, with plenty of room between tables and chairs. The seating arrangements are generous, making it a great place for families or meetings. Do yourself a favor and stop by to experience the food for yourself. The last photo I’m sharing is of a child's French toast breakfast, which cost just $8."

"The dining experience was great. Our waitress was so awesome and offered great recommendations. The restaurant practices anonymity as the seating booths are partitioned for a bit of privacy. Our meals came out in minutes, didn’t wait long at all. The food was very tasty, delicious and filling. I’m from out of town, but will most likely be back for more great food. My only recommendation is on the brisket sandwich, the meat was tasty yet it was served a bit cold. The ribs were fantastic and sides were equally good."

"We ran in here suddenly while waiting on some auto repair next door, and were greeted and seated quickly. There weren't a lot of people, but the crowd sure rolled in fast. We placed our order and it was out pretty quickly. It tasted fantastic and the service from our waitress was phenomenal. Even with all the other customers, she made sure to check on us often to assure everything was great. She offered us a to-go box for the kid's meal and a to-go drink before we even realized we'd need them. All around, it was a pleasant and wonderful experience."

"Stunning location, beautiful hotel unfortunately lacking in elegance with regards to the front of house staff. July 2023 Set in a stunning location on the edge of Lake Mendota, The Edgewater Hotel has many beautiful features; The stunning spa, Lakeview rooms with large comfortable beds and luxurious bedding. The Boathouse and Statehouse restaurants connected to the hotel are an excellent combination of casual lakeside dining with a fabulous menu and elegant, high end fine dining. The Boathouse staff were young and casual and very friendly which suited the casual lakeside environment. Unfortunately we felt that despite the luxurious surroundings, the lack of elegance and professionalism from the front of house staff really let the hotel down. It did not feel like a high end hotel, and at $1000 for 2 nights we expected excellent service and a little bit of luxury in the room above the basic requirements, but we were very disappointed. There were no teabags or milk in the room as stated, no mini bar or any extras in the room at all other than a very small bottle of water each in the fridge. We arrived in the evening, so asked the reception staff if they could provide some tea bags. He wasn’t very helpful and just sent us upstairs to The Statehouse restaurant to ask if they had any. We also asked the staff at the statehouse if they had a biscuit or a chocolate to accompany our tea. They gave us 2 teabags and a paper cup with a very small amount of milk and 4 small chocolates. We were charged on our bill $10 for the 2 teabags and $15 for the 4 chocolates! We were appalled at the price and at the lack of helpful service. We had just spent a few days in the Four Seasons in Chicago, which cost less per night than the Edgewater yet the elegance and helpfulness of the staff far surpassed the service we received at the Edgewater. It’s a shame as the hotel itself is really beautiful."

"What the hell did We pay $62 for? My wife and I ordered via door dash Pulled pork sandwich $14.51) a beef brisket sandwich 16.49) and the appetizer combo $11.87). I understand taxes and the fees for DoorDash. The pulled pork had no Smokey flavor and was masked by the attempt of a BBQ sauce that was slapped on the top of a soggy French roll. The Brisket was so dry that it could have been passed for jerky on a soggy French roll as well. When you’re charging upwards towards $20 for a sandwich why wouldn’t you give fries? The 2 oz cup of bland coleslaw could have stayed at the restaurant. The appetizer combo was a sad sight with 2 mozzarella cheese sticks, 6 mushrooms and 4 onion rings. $12 for this! If you’re going to charge a premium for your food please make sure the quality reflects the value. Thank god I had some pickles in my fridge to enhance the taste of this disaster of a dinner. I will spend my money elsewhere and make sure everyone I know steers clear of here."

"Okay I found this place like a week in half ago on doordash. And I haven’t looked back since. As you can see I have been ordering almost everyday. Affordable. Love their pepperoni pizza (8.50$ whatttt) and the wings are cooked so perfectly and the Buffalo sauce is so delicious. We are from NY so it’s hard to find good pizza and Buffalo wings made the right way. I didn’t really like their bbq sauce but it wasn’t bad. Also they give you lollipops which my children love such a good find."

"I think this restaurant is slipping. They no longer have any butter for toast or pancakes. I was served margarine on my toast with no warning. I asked the waiter for butter instead, and was told they don't have butter anymore. It came across as very cheap. This is a chain. How can they justify such penny pinching? They are off our list of good places to eat here in Sonora."
