"Although I haven't been a long-time fan of Duchess, I can honestly say that they've consistently delivered good food over the past couple of years I've been visiting. I've tried their breakfast sandwiches, one of the chef salads, a mango smoothie, and on a few occasions, I've enjoyed the meatloaf dinner. I've also sampled their burgers. This time, however, I opted for the patty melt along with a delicious chocolate shake, and it was absolutely fantastic! It even came topped with bacon. I really appreciate that they have ample parking. They also offer a drive-through, although the wait can be a bit long, likely because everything is made fresh. The only reason I didn't give the patty melt a perfect score is that it wasn't quite as impressive as the one I had at Merritt Canteen. The veal parmesan was tasty; while the sauce wasn't homemade and didn't have that long-simmered quality, it was still good and the portion size was just right. I thoroughly enjoyed the Italian wedding soup, too, which was my first time trying that type of soup."
