"Upon arriving to pick up our order, I was greeted by a woman who appeared to be the manager, and she gave me a rather rude stare as I approached the counter. When I inquired about where to stand for pick-up orders—there were no signs indicating this—she swore under her breath and rolled her eyes at me, simply asking, “What is your name?” Her demeanor was completely disengaged and uninterested as she slowly made her way to the register to process my order.
We had ordered four pieces of halibut fish and chips, specifically requesting no coleslaw and extra vinegar with salmon. However, when we opened the box back at our hotel, we discovered coleslaw included, no vinegar or salmon, and about 15 small hairs mixed into the food we paid $19 for (the menu had listed this item for $17, so we appear to have been overcharged).
When I called the restaurant to address these issues, a woman answered. I conveyed my disappointment with the order, and after a brief silence, she casually offered me a basket of fries. Given that fish and chips are supposed to be the highlight of their menu, I expected much better; the fish was mediocre, and the portion of fries was disappointingly small.
With so much competition in the area, I am surprised they remain in business with such a level of service. I wouldn’t have felt compelled to write a review if it hadn’t been for the occasion—my girlfriend's birthday. Mistakes can happen, but the poor customer service only compounded the experience, leading me to share my thoughts."
