"8/19/19 My husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary yesterday in downtown Memphis, TN. Our very first visit to Memphis. We walked around hoping to find a good local restaurant for dinner to celebrate our special occasion. Lucky for us, we stumbled upon the Bleu Restaurant inside the Westin Hotel. What an awesome experience from start to finish with the food and the excellent service we received. Our amazing waitress, Carmen started us out with a delicious, finger licking dry rub chicken wing appetizer with bourbon barbeque and blue cheese sauces on the side. For my main course, I tried the grilled pork chop which came with an awesome peach barbeque drizzle, some miniature candied yams and I substitited the sauteed swiss chard for asparagus. The pork chop had wonderful grill marks and was so tender and delicious and I couldn't get enough of coating the pork with the peach barbeque drizzle. The candied yams and asparagus were cooked to perfection and great compliments to the pork chop. My husband had the gemini pasta and added shrimp as his protein of choice. He loved it. The portion ratios were spot on. To end the meal, I really wanted a nice, light dessert. I chose the Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake with whipped cream and fruit (strawberries). OMG...this was the lightest, best dessert I've tasted in forever!! Top layer was white chocolate, middle layer was a darker chocolate and final layer was chocolate cake with the whipped cream and strawberries on the side. I normally do not prefer white chocolate, but this amazing dessert was a pleasing exception for my palate, lol. I savored every single bite. Kudos to the chef and the new manager. We were pleasantly full, but did not feel over stuffed. I must save my best review for our waitress, Carmen. She was so funny and engaging throughout the entire dining experience and helped us create a memorable 35th anniversary dining experience that we will always cherish. Thank you to Carmen and the entire Bleu Restaurant management and staff from Willie and Karen, Mechanicsburg, PA."

"This is the absolute worst place to go or throw a event. It's a total scam . They get your money then they have you show they practically strip search you and every patron that comes in . Then they hike the drink prices to 15.00 a drink the door is 20.00 they acually lied and said there was a problem with the front outside which I was acually standing with the security at the time nothing at all was happening outside at all . They wouldn't allow the entertainment to enter . Then called the police which I truly believe where not acually real police officers because there refused to make a report when I asked them to give me a report and there name and badge they had none they refused to take my statement as a witness to the event which I was there at the moment I'm 54 don't drink and there watching my son sing and the security women forced her way into my conversation pushing me out of the way of the police officer and he let her do that no officer would allow that . Finally I asked him what division he was with he wouldn't answer me . Huh when does a officer not tell you that . Or take s report at all . I told them I was calling the precinct in the morning . They were very nervous. And huddled together all of them. We paid 5,000 for the event, I read they do this regularly I had no idea it was true now I know . I'm going to make a claim . If anyone had this happen please send me a yelp or leave a message here I would appreciate that ."

"**Pros** **Amazing Beds!** The best hotel bed I’ve ever slept in was at the Ritz Orlando. After a full day of hopping between theme parks, my husband and I woke up feeling completely recharged. Knowing you’ll be sleeping on a Ritz bed after a long, physically demanding day is such a comforting thought. **Attention to Detail and Customer Service!** They genuinely care about their guests. When I casually mentioned it was my birthday, they went out of their way to make me feel special. It was such a delightful surprise to find a handwritten note and some treats waiting in our room! The entire staff—whether at the front desk, serving at the restaurant, attending to our car, or in housekeeping—was incredible. Everyone was helpful and a joy to interact with. **Tons of Perks!** From Saturday night fireworks to a water park, lazy river, golf, bike trails, and various bars, there are plenty of activities available without ever needing to leave the property. I recommend dedicating at least one full day to explore the resort and take advantage of everything they offer. **Shuttle Service to and from the parks.** This was fantastic! I didn’t have to worry about parking, and the transportation was comfortable and enjoyable. **Cons** **The Spa was Just Meh.** While the technicians were lovely, I expected a truly luxurious experience from a high-end spa given the price point for services like manicures, pedicures, facials, and massages, but it fell short. The high costs seem to be due to access to treatment rooms, and gratuity is already included. Essentially, you pay for the service, tip for the service, and then incur additional fees for amenities like the sauna. Honestly, if there are more than 20 people present, it loses its relaxing vibe and feels more like a crowded public gym than a serene spa. The services themselves are nice, but nothing stands out as exceptional, and they don’t warrant the high prices. I want to stress that the technicians and beauticians are excellent; however, I personally wouldn’t return. This spa experience certainly didn’t live up to expectations. (Side note: A few years ago, I visited another Ritz Spa at a different hotel and had a similar experience. Despite the luxury prices, the services felt quite basic. In my opinion, Ritz Spas often don’t live up to the prestigious reputation of The Ritz brand.) **The Breakfast Buffet at Highball Harvest** was overpriced for what you get. To be fair, everything on the menu is delicious, and the service was friendly, but the options were quite limited. What really stands out is the beautiful decor and serene waterfront view, which enhance the overall ambiance, but the selection of dishes is rather minimal. **Overall,** it wasn’t perfect, but still worth it! Our stay was absolutely amazing. Even though I initially went for the parks, the Ritz itself provided such a remarkable experience that I would gladly return just for their exceptional hospitality."
