"I've visited Big John's Pizzeria several times over the years, and it's been a staple on Jamaica Avenue and 219 for as long as I can remember. My first experience there was in the early 2000s when I ordered a chicken roll and a sausage roll, both of which were quite tasty. Eventually, I tried a slice of their pizza, which was decent as well. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is courteous and friendly. This place is truly a landmark on Jamaica Avenue in Queens, and the prices are reasonable too."

"We've visited this restaurant twice in one week! The chicken parmesan with linguine is fantastic; it comes with either soup or a large dinner salad and is comparable to what you'd find in a traditional Italian restaurant. The portion sizes are generous enough for a second meal! The salads are fresh and crisp, and the chicken pancake is simply amazing—homemade perfection! The staff is friendly and hardworking, with no sign of laziness. We went after 7:00 PM both times, but we plan to return at different times of the day. Don’t pay attention to the negative reviews—give this place a try!"

Below is a post that she made in regards to her staff not wanting to serve black people!!! Absolutely outrageous!!! Daxx C. DelGado to Chi-Town FOODIES!!! 7 hrs · I need Help! "We have been eating here a few times a year for years now. We walk over from Robert Moses and walk back along the ocean under the stars. The food and menu have gotten worse and worse. There are not many vegetarian options anymore. Even the veggie burger was removed from the menu. We ordered edamame. It came out cold so we asked for it to be heated up. It came out cold the second time and we just ate it cold. I asked to order off the kids menu to get grilled cheese but was told I had to order the adult version (I guess that's on the lunch menu because it wasn't on the dinner menu). I didn't have a problem with that. The fries were very good. But the grilled cheese was pressed panini style and was burnt and hard. The service is good and the drinks are good. But the food has been increasingly disappointing each year. I think next time we will just have drinks and pizza when we get to Kismet."

"I visited the restaurant for New Year's Eve, and I have to say, it was a great experience. On Saturdays and Sundays, they offer 64 oz growlers for just $6 all day long, which is an amazing deal. Our waiter, Brian, was excellent— I'd highly recommend asking for him as he does a fantastic job!"

"Today I ordered from this restaurant on the phone. I went to pick up my order and I was waiting for 30 minutes. I was waiting there and suddenly the security guy he started looking at me and he’s giving me a hand gesture. I didn’t understand what did he mean by doing that and then I picked up my order and started walking outside and he started following me and then after a brief talk, suddenly he told me oh go back to your country. I was so surprised for this action from this security guy in this restaurant I will go ahead and do my leg paperwork about this discrimination."

"Long time customer My Order was Delivered 45 minutes before closing. As my wife and I normally do, we ordered amongst other things, our favorite pizza A mild chicken wing pizza medium size 18$)To our shock the pizza was Disgusting and Unedible, burnt to the point of not being able to identify what was on this pizza, the chicken wing sauce was saturated all the way threw making the top of the pizza burnt and the bottom soggy! I Called today to notify the manager as they had closed shortly after delivering my order. I was told I was going to get nothing but a $5 credit for my next order. This is after being told due to it being the following day I was not entitled to anything but still was asked by the woman who answered the call what is it I 'm looking to get out of this!? I was dumbfounded and shocked that this is how I 'm being treated because I am calling the following day due to them closing. Disappointed customers that won 't be ordering from them again. A company not willing to stand by the products they serve is a company that is not worth ordering food from!"

"This place is Under New Management and boy can you tell, in a great way! Loving the new energy. Went for a NFL watch party but stayed after because there was a diverse crowd including Metro officers enjoying the space. Overall, if you want intimacy you can have it, but there were plenty of opportunities for great conversation and witty banter! This is going to be my new spot for study sessions and group projects! Jenell, Jan, and Rob were all AMAZING staff members who will make it their mission to make you feel welcomed. 10 out of 10 would recommend!"

"Came in to play a few games of pool and have a meal. We were able to play a game and still no one came up to our table to see if we would like to order anything. At the door, the sign clearly stated to please seat ourselves, so there should have been no issues getting service. There were a couple workers huddled around the cash register, who never acknowledged we were there."

"The Finish Line Sports Grill is a rare gem in the world of off-track gambling joints. I decided to try it out for lunch on the recommendation of the KOA campground nearby and I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is filled with big screen TVs showcasing various sports events and depending on the time of day, there is a lively gambling crowd in attendance. If you're feeling lucky, you can place a bet, or you can simply enjoy the atmosphere as a sports bar. They offer a variety of beers on tap and the food is surprisingly good. I enjoyed a brisket burger, a salad, and a beer during my visit and it was a winning combination. I have already been back and would definitely recommend it to others."

"I chose the SouthPort Raw Bar for its available Wi-Fi and reasonably priced menu. It turned out that the service was the highlight of the visit. The Wi-Fi connection was excellent, although the lack of electrical outlets meant we had to rely on battery power. I ordered the fish dip, which was not only huge but also delicious, easily allowing for sharing among five of us. The clam chowder was thick, flavorful, and packed with clams to satisfy my cravings. The portion of grilled dolphin was generous, and the accompanying rice was enormous and cooked to perfection. I have to mention the service again: our waitress was extremely friendly, incredibly helpful with our selections, and very attentive. On top of that, the friendly manager helped us by combining two tables for our group and later checked in to ensure everything was enjoyable. The chef also came by twice to make sure we were satisfied. With a wide variety of options—especially in seafood—there's plenty to entice anyone to return and try different delicious soups, salads, sandwiches, main dishes, and desserts."
