"I frequently use the drive-thru at Krispy Kreme several times a year and have always found the morning staff to be friendly and considerate. We usually stick to the original doughnuts, and there are typically plenty available in the morning. I highly recommend visiting earlier in the day. Our experiences in the afternoon haven't been as great; the employees seem less attentive, almost as if you’re interrupting their work. While I enjoy chatting with staff at other locations, afternoons here are a different story. The original doughnuts also seem to get damp and sticky later in the day, making me wonder if they’re older.
I do appreciate that they offer report card doughnuts for kids, which is a wonderful way for the company to support the community. However, I believe there should be clearer communication from corporate regarding different school schedules. I recently went to get six doughnuts for my son, who earned straight A’s, only to be told that the program doesn’t run during the summer. I explained that our school year continues into June, so we receive report cards during the summer months. The staff member said it couldn’t be done because it's the new semester, but that doesn’t apply to our charter school just yet. The report card clearly states it’s for the 2022 school year, which we’re still in.
It's not just about getting free doughnuts; my son would keep the six for himself, and I would buy a dozen for the rest of the family. I’ll keep buying doughnuts to celebrate my kids' achievements, but it’s disappointing that my son feels excluded from this reward program. It’s a shame we can’t participate, although I’m glad it exists."
