"Came in for our scheduled reservation asked the lady to check me in on their open table app and she had no clue what open table reservation was. Ordered two hot tea which was served cold. Ordered 3 miso soup which was served luke warm. Texture of their seaweed salad was so thick and gooey."

"Wanted to try something else and a little quirky with the Tokyo Hamburg family seemed to fit the bill. It is in the K town and offers an interesting fusion of food. It was a rainy night and hardly anyone was in the restaurant we had the place for ourselves. Food quality is not excellent, but very good. My daughter tried the classic Hamburg steak, which is essentially a large meatball with some onions on the side, that you cook on a small chef that is part of your plate. It is not your usual meatball, but well seasoned and very tasty. I had the Rib Eye Katsu. It is an interested bread, raw piece steak served with a small, heated cast iron plate you use to cook your own meat. It was also very good. We also tried the cheese catsu and a cheese udon. All the articles were interesting and a bit quirky for us who were just what we were looking for this night. I would go back to experience the different food style and want to change the pace."

"Came here to get lunch before leaving Vegas. I love Japanese food, but I?m not a fan of sushi-only or ramen-only places. I very much prefer these places that offer small hot plates, often reminiscent of an izakaya experience. We ordered a couple noodledishes (cold soba and cold udon) and then a couple hot plates on top (tofu steak and takoyaki). Everything was really good, andat a decent price. The tofu steak came out sizzling, was perfectly cooked, and had a delicious sauce coating. The udon had aplethora of toppings, which is rare as a lot of noodle dishes at restaurants come only with a little bit of topping these days.The cold soup for the udon wasn?t the best, but the noodles were tasty without too much of it, so it was still great. Theumeboshi and bonito flakes went really well with the cold noodles too. The takoyaki was also soft and delicious. It was a reallyyummy meal and would definitely come back if I ever visit Vegas again."

"If you're after a spot for a post-work beer or a pre-Mariners/Seahawks bite with excellent Japanese cuisine, this is the place to be! Though it's relatively new, it's definitely a hidden gem in the Sodo area. I enjoyed three different sushi rolls and spent some time at the bar with the wonderful Rika. The food was outstanding, but the service truly matched, if not surpassed, the delicious dishes we savored. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the neighborhood and craving a variety of Japanese options like karaage, sushi, and ramen. Ask for Rika—she'll take great care of you. A solid 10/10, and I’d definitely recommend it to a friend!"

"Dpi cy Curry Ramen was bursting with flavor and served at just the right temperature. The Black Garlic Ramen was rich, savory, and had the perfect amount of garlic. The Super Fruit Green Tea was delicious, while the Passion Fruit Green Tea had the ideal level of sweetness. This is definitely one of my favorite places to dine."

"I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The older Asian lady who was serving us was quite rude and lacked basic manners. It was the worst service I've ever encountered. To make matters worse, the chicken katsu was soggy and the portion size was very small. Despite being the only customers in the restaurant, we waited 10 minutes before being acknowledged. The server was mostly occupied on her phone and didn't seem to pay us any attention. I can't recommend this place to anyone. If possible, I would give it zero stars."

"I ordered the Pork Paitan Ramen while my husband opted for the Thai Green Curry Ramen, and both dishes were absolutely fantastic. It's been a while since our last visit since there are so many Pho restaurants popping up lately, and I usually crave soup on those chilly, rainy days. The service was outstanding; even though you place your order at the counter, the staff still take the time to serve you. I was pleased to see that the menu has expanded to include Poke bowls and Bento boxes. One feature I particularly appreciated was the option to swap traditional noodles for zucchini noodles. It's a lighter alternative and significantly lower in calories. You can definitely expect to see us returning here soon!"

"Came here on a strong recommendation from a friend who lives in the bay area. The best place for unique Udon and the Chicken Karaage would be Uzumakiya. It is definitely something to write home about. The Oxtail Udon is a must try. Yes, when you receive it, the bowl looks small and the ingredients appear to be lacking. But it's the ratio of the Udon to ingredients plus the rich and flavorful broth that balances out so well. The Chicken Karaage is one of the best I've had in the bay and close to the ones I've eaten in Japan. The Karaage is filling, so do share of you order it. Service is great and price is decent. This is a must try."

"Tenka 's shoyu ramen is consistently mediocre. The best thing in the bowl is the pork belly. The best thing in the bowl SHOULD be the broth! A properly made shoyu broth is very VERY tasty and addictive as hell. The shoyu broth at Tenka is ... nothing. The only thing I could taste in the broth today was the char from the pork belly. The broth doesn 't bring any of it 's own flavor to the party. It seems thin to me as well. It lacks body. Is there any gelatin from bones in this broth? None I could detect. The noodles weren 't all that terrific either. They tasted cheap to me. I 've had much better.Obento-ya in SE Minneapolis (now closed) had outstanding shoyu ramen and serves as my point of reference. Nothing else in the Twin Cities I 've found so far comes even remotely close. (I 've also had decent shoyu ramen in New York City.)Even the karaage was off today. The breading was mostly mushy and the flavor was unpleasant in a chemical sort of way.She asked what I wanted to drink and I said just water and ended up getting charged for a plastic bottle of Aquafina. That behavior may or may not be standard practice in Asia but here in Minnesota we expect complimentary tap water upon request. At bare minimum we need to be informed complimentary tap water is not available so that we can evaluate our options.I very much wanted to like this place so I 've been here probably twice a year since they opened. I 've given them lots of chances. I 'll give them credit for being consistent. Consistently mediocre that is.Given the 4.5 stars this place is pulling it 's clear many of us in town don 't have quality points of reference when it comes to ramen. Until and unless a quality point of reference comes along I recommend you all skip this place entirely and go get yourself a nice hot bowl of pho or mi instead.I 'm done with Tenka Ramen. I will not return."

"We stopped here after being absolutely drained from doing a full move in to dorm on a humid hot day and this ramen place just seemed to appear from the back of the Storrs plaza. Everyone was happily pleased and extremely filled with their ramen bowls, the vegetarian bowl had a hint of miso in the broth which made the tofu blend perfectly and hold moisture. The tonkotsu bowls were incredible with the pork that was tender and sweet enough while also having that signature light char. Perfect lunch or dinner spot, I know the college students keep this one busy!"

"Don’t be fooled by mouth watering pictures! I wanted ramen and this was closest. The broth was bland and the chashu was a bit sweet. Somehow, the mix of flavors just didn’t sit well with my taste. The only good thing is they give free karaage...probably because the ramen is forgettable."
