"I?ve been frequenting El Don for years. The food, service, and atmosphere have consistently been great. The crunchy and soft chicken tacos hit the spot. All employees are kind and helpful. "All i can say is eeeeh . Literally everything was so so blah. The food was cold, the chips were stale.the salsa was ok. The tortilla seem homemade so that was nice. The nachos had a odd tasting cheese, like plastic ish. Rice and bean cream is 10 dollars. You get such an a small amount of rice that my 3yr old wanted more. The rooftop is uneventful, is literally big windows that are opened. They do have a lot of outdoor seating. I tried making reservations online but itwas booked . Still decided to go in and it was pretty empty."

"I walked into the restaurant and was immediately put off by the sight of dirty tables. I asked for water with lemon, but it tasted like it came from a rusty pipe. The margarita I ordered came in a broken glass. The bathroom smelled of urine. However, the Steak Tacos were good, although the Margarita was too sweet. I went outside for a smoke and returned to find a roach on my seat. The servers had difficulty speaking English, and there were house flies swarming my table - could it be because the door was propped open? The salsa was too spicy for my liking, and the dining room looked worn down, not ideal for a romantic meal. It was hard to find the server, so it's best to make a list of everything you need before your food arrives. I also agree with another reviewer's complaint that the optimal experience is not guaranteed if you speak English at this restaurant."

"Now, onto the food. They serve complimentary chips and salsa, which was a nice touch. The red salsa was deliciously spicy, while the green salsa was fresh but not spicy at all. We ordered beef enchiladas with red sauce, a chili relleno, and a side of jalapeños. Both dishes were accompanied by rice and beans. My husband enjoyed his beef enchiladas, but my chili relleno was bland and lacked seasoning. Unfortunately, the rice and beans also fell flat, leaving us with a rather tasteless experience. Overall, it’s a place I would only recommend trying once, but I won't be returning anytime soon."

"You can genuinely feel the owner's passion for this business at Mi Cabañita. The menu strikes a perfect balance, featuring all the classic Mexican dishes along with some unique options that add an interesting twist. We tried various types of tacos, and they were all quite enjoyable. The selection of taco meats was good as well, although they have been out of cabeza for quite some time. The restaurant has a number of noticeable signs explaining the absence of tortillas and salsa, detailing meat shortages that have led to higher prices and fewer choices, among other things. While we enjoyed our visit, the overall atmosphere of "times are tough, manage your expectations" felt a bit disheartening."

"The restaurant was conveniently located for us and the menu looked good. When we arrived they had no way to check a reservation and didn't have a table ready for us. It took about 15 minutes for someone to even greet our table, so we could already decide on our dinner when a server spoke to us for the first time. It then took another 25 to 30 minutes for our dinner to arrive. We had a Caesar Salad, Slider and Lobster Mac and Cheese and I wouldn't order anything more. The beer was good and it seemed a fun place. There was live music which was really good, but the whole place was so loud that it was impossible to talk to."

The first time it happened to me, I assumed it was just an error, which can occur. However, I've come to realize that this seems to be a regular practice for them. "In spite of making a reservation, we were seated on a high table that was in the most crowded pedestrian zone. While we accepted circumstance initially and placed our orders, there came a point where our personal space was invaded by someone (a man who was having conversations kept leaning back on my shoulders and make no point to apologize or acknowledge that he was entering my space . I brought this up to our server and asked her to kindly ask them to move as they were standing around and not in a stationary table like ours. Instead of doing this, she arranged for us to be moved to the table that is directly across from the entrance (resulting in a cold breeze hitting us every time someone entered and essentially being on display as we were the first thing everyone saw who entered . After dealing with this for 12 minutes (a period in which our drinks and food had yet to arrive , we asked to be moved again. The staff made a joke about the move (admissible but made a comment about how all these moves resulted in them not being able to identify our order (mind you, I could speak to and see guests on either of the two previous tables from the third one . The food and drinks arrived (and they were ok but when it came time to pay, I suffered further embarrassment. I pulled out an open table gift certificate and rather than simply know what it was and apply it, the server asked me what coupon I had and how much the discount was for. While there's nothing wrong with using coupons, I simply don't and the implication was embarrassing. Then after having to explain what it was, I asked him to put the tip on the bill (20% and bring it back to us- in spite of experience, I always tip as I know salaries can be low. I would not recommend this place to anyone that is looking for an easy and relaxing night out- it's collegiate scene gives more of the pub feel but restaurant it is not."

"What a fantastic place this is! Food quality/portion were excellent given the price point of the entrée items, the service was at par as well. While all dishes were excellent, I definitely recommend any dish that contains the pulled pork, it is superiorto the beef and chicken. I found the restaurant to be resoundingly authentic; mercifully not too Americanized, even thestemware was made in Mexico. Great attention to detail! I highly recommend this place."

"I ordered delivery from here and it a normal amount of time to arrive. No complaints there. The burrito was ok, good size, toppings and salsas on the side. And I like how it was pressed on the grill to seal it closed. However the tostones came raw! They were horribly undercooked and I had to bake them in order for them to be edible. And I asked for Jarritos Tamarindo and instead received mandarin, which isn’t the same thing. Not the best overall experience for me which is disappointing."
