"At first, I didn't mind that the table wasn't set and that it was chilly in the corner where we were seated, considering we arrived 10 minutes early. However, after an hour of sitting there, with the whole table—especially the two kids—still wearing their jackets, I would have expected them to adjust the heating.
As for the food, the salads were basically plates of dressing with lettuce on the side. The New York steak, about three-quarters of an inch thick, was mostly fat and gristle, with barely any meat. The macaroni and cheese was swimming in oil at the bottom of the dish, and the beef stroganoff was served in a small bowl, using last night’s cubed meat topped with a dollop of sour cream. The french fries were obviously straight from a freezer bag, and the microwaved dinner rolls seemed to be from Sam’s Club. I felt sorry for my dad, who reluctantly accepted his steak dinner.
I spoke with the manager to share that our experience was not what we had hoped for, and her only response was that they were still working out the kinks of the newly opened restaurant. After spending over $200 on dinner, I couldn’t help but think that we would have had a better experience at Cool Hand Luke’s or another chain restaurant where our business would have been genuinely appreciated!"
