"During our visit to Monterey Park this weekend, we stumbled upon a restaurant that caught our eye due to its A rating from the Health Department. Most places on Garvey only have B or C ratings, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered lamb skewers, squid skewers, Shanxi cold noodles, pork mix dumplings, and shredded pork in special sauce. The ordering process was unique as the waiter loudly repeated our order in Mandarin to the cook across the restaurant. Unfortunately, the squid was rubbery, the lamb skewers were fatty with gristle, and the shredded pork was tough. Despite the friendly staff and clean environment, the food did not meet our expectations. Overall, I left with a feeling of confusion and doubt about returning in the future. It may be worth trying for some, but it was not to my liking."
