"I can't help but think we might have visited on an off night. We ordered our food online for pickup a few hours before closing on a Friday and arrived right on time. We received a nicely packaged takeout bag and drove home in under ten minutes. However, when we opened it, we were greeted by the mushiest, wettest sushi I've ever encountered. Most of the rolls fell apart as soon as we tried to pick them up with chopsticks, forcing us to use our fingers and even spoons just to salvage a taste. Ultimately, we found everything so disappointing that we could hardly eat 90% of our order. The rice was overly mushy, and a strange, watery liquid had collected in the bottom of each container. The roe pearls slipped off the sushi and floated around aimlessly. Most alarming was the octopus sashimi, which had a distinctly off texture that made a noticeable popping sound when I took a bite, much like biting into fish that had been improperly thawed after freezer burn."
