"We've eaten here twice first was for breakfast (good); second was for dinner. It's a bit of a drive for us, but we had dig up two gift cards from years past in the office, and decided to give Ortega's a whirl The food was excellent. As with most sit-down Mexican restaurants, we "chipped out", and were all reasonably filled by the time the appetizer came around. Queso Fundido a cheesy, fatty, well seasoned dip of comfort goodness. Flavor and consistency-wise, it was very good. If I had to nitpick a little there was a touch more oil one the top than what I'm accustomed to, but that was more than made up for by the outstanding taste Their mole enchiladas were perfect. Many places "over mole" their dishes, and to me it appears the preference. I liked Ortegas in that the mole was the primary nuance of the dish, and not like eating melted bars a chocolate. : The other dish we sampled was the Huachinango with plantains as the main feature. It was pleasant not too sweet, and very well put together. However, I preferred my enchiladas (since I ordered them We'll be back, and won't have to bring gift certificates. And BTW the bartender was on point that evening I had to fight myself NOT to get a second mango margarita"

"Have eaten here several times. Was surprised that with a reservation we were still sitting at a booth looking into the kitchen. We could have asked to be moved, but we didn't want to. The waiter was very enthusiastic, but failed to fill glasses of water without being asked. My husband's lasagna was a huge brick in the middle of an unadorned plate. A little salad or something green and crispy would have been nice. Not an à la carte fan, especially when it comes to the price of the main course alone. The room was very dark and a bit noisy. I would ask not to sit in this area another time."

"Our server, Juan, was great and very attentive. The food, however, was another thing. The portion of fried pickles was absolutely ridiculous and the saucey chicken sandwich I ordered was smaller than the bun and so dry I couldn't eat it. I asked for another and Juan made it happen."

I wondered why that was because I had a reservation and wait for a table when a walk sat immediately. the host asked about my name and safe enough it was on her tablet, but my reservation was not honored. they should be removed from the business with open table."

"Leaving 4 stars just because of a negative experience with the host last night. I started saying the food was great, the waitress Naomi was great, and the outside seats were great. We liked the menu options and our drinks were also great. We didn't have a reservation because they were booked out. You reserve many seats for walk-ins and I assume there is a lot of reservation cancellations. When we arrived, I asked the host if we could sit outside. She answered no because they were reserved for reservations, although they were a group of 3 without reservations outside. In addition, more than half of the tables were empty. I wondered if I could talk to the manager, and then the host came and sat us out. I wasn't rude and I definitely never want to be an idiot too hard working people. A simple customer should be taken into account and not completely released."

"This location is a hit or miss (mostly a miss). We have ordered here about 10 times in the past 10 months hoping that the next one will be better. For the vast majority of these times, they have gotten our order wrong (e.g., have included fries even after paying extra for onion rings, wrong sauce on the wings or there was a side completely missing). The two times our order was correct it was fresh and we enjoyed it. If you’re doing take out, please check your entire order before leaving the premises."

"Finding parking in Southeast Portland can be a challenge, but it's worth it for this cozy, retro restaurant that boasts an eclectic atmosphere and showcases local artists' work on the walls. The bar is well-stocked, offering a great selection of morning cocktails and evening drinks. My partner opted for the Louisiana Hash, substituting avocado for eggs, and he absolutely loved it — especially the generous serving of avocado! I tried the Green Giant, which featured perfectly crisp pepper bacon. The service was friendly, and our food arrived quickly. We're already excited to return and explore more of the menu. That said, our dishes were so delightful that it might be tough to choose something new! Without a doubt, this place deserves five stars all around!"

"I’m really disappointed to be writing this review. I was excited for my first visit since I had heard wonderful things about their food. Unfortunately, my order was completely wrong. When I tried to return the incorrect item, they charged me for it again. To make matters worse, they took back what they had messed up, leaving me to pay for nothing. On top of that, they tried to charge me $9 for a tiny cup of cheese. If I could give a rating of 0, I definitely would; this experience was just unacceptable."

"I had a little incident with my meal last night. It wasn't anything severe, but considering that this restaurant prides itself on excellent service and high standards, it shouldn't have happened. To summarize, the manager promptly addressed the issue and took appropriate action by covering my family's meals for the evening. We frequent this location often; although we’ve tried other branches, this one is definitely the best. Even during the pandemic, they maintained great service. Nowadays, it’s rare to find a place that opens on time, or even opens at all. I wanted to express my gratitude to the manager, but he was busy handling things, so I’ll make sure to thank him when I return—because we absolutely will be back. Thanks again!"

"This is one of my favorite spots to hang out with my friends. I'm a big fan of the Artisan Spinach flatbread and the Parmesan garlic wings. The service is quite good and the staff is always friendly. The best part, however, is the inviting and energetic atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place. It's conveniently located on Pulaski Highway, although it can get a bit crowded on weekends. We usually go after 8:30 p.m. to avoid the rush."

"My wife and I went to this BWW Sunday after making a reservation on their website. We received confirmation emails and text message reminders for our reservation. When we arrived and told the hostess we had a reservation, she said, We don 't take reservations. When I showed her the confirmation on my phone, she said that I should not have been able to make a reservation and no tables would be available FOR 2 HOURS. She didn 't pretend to care about the inconvenience. My wife suggested we get a takeout order, but we both felt that the restaurant should do something, even if only a symbolic gesture, to compensate for the service failure. We drove 40 minutes for a reservation that they confirmed but would not honor. The cashier took our order, but before we paid he went to the manager to see what could be done. I stepped outside and my wife spoke with the manager (Carlos R. and he said nothing could be done. When I heard that, I went inside asked to speak with the manager. Before he returned, the cashier brought our takeout order to us. Carlos R. showed up and told us nothing could be done because it was a third party 's mistake. That defies logic! The third party is OpenTable which BWW hired to do exactly what they did: Make a reservation. I told him that I worked in restaurants for years and that you always try to satisfy the customer in the case of service failures. At least do SOMETHING, ANYTHING, to show that you are sorry for the failure and that you appreciate their business. He said he would do NOTHING. I showed him that our takeout order was complete and asked him if he would rather throw the order away than satisfy his customer. He said if you don 't want the food at full price, I 'll throw it away. He was happy to throw away the food and two customers. Why not discount the food slightly and keep two customers? He is neither a champion of logic or customer service. I wrote the corporate office the same day. No response. TERRIBLE SERVICE!"

"Assumed it was a higher end restaurant based on the pictures and reviews, but ended up being pretty average which was unfortunately. Great location by the corner of Moody street with wonderful staff that make you feel comfortably at home. The main dishes were good, but could have been elevated further with some additional seasoning. Possibly try something out of their wheelhouse to rejuvenate their menu a bit and make them stand out. The chips for the appetizer were too hard, and uncomfortable to eat. But the flavors in the salsa and guac were definitely there! Overall, a good experience."

"This place was awesome back in the day, now not so much. I should have just left. Why you ask, well you walk in and the hostess is having a conversation with another employee and then they say oh dine in sit wherever you want. ? ok cool beans walk in and there is water draining from the ceiling into buckets on the table with towels in it. Should have just sat at the bar, it was the cleanest place in there and the bartender he was awesome. Our server,she did not bring water or ask if we wanted water, we had to ask for napkins and plates, she didn't bring silverware or plastic ware. The really tall bartender brought us most of the things we needed it was really sad. Three minutes after the food came out she came back by asked if we needed anything we said no not right now so then she brought us our check. I guess that was our que we should leave so we asked for to-go boxes and left."

"A group of us stuck in Mickey Land for a convention were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oskars in Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. While I'm not a fan of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual including a smoked salmon bar, ham bar, and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of families with kids so it was a bit noisy but that didn't really affect ... everything the group of 4 tried we loved. Only two things that were a little strange was that the cost of the buffet only included mimosas, not **** Marys and no eggs Benedict on the buffet. However, what impressed me most was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar it was empty even though two staff members I asked told me it would be replenished. When I mentioned it to our waiter he came back and said they were going out which was disappointing. The manager came over apologetically and said they even sent Hikton next door but they were out until Monday ... not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate of the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time ... THAT is service."

"Food was wrong, service was horrible! When we tried to voice our concerns the manager was extremely rude and offered no apology let alone some sort of compensation. I mean they literally brought us COLD WING!! My boneless wings were as hard as rocks, they put the wrong sauce on my sons wings, my sister asked for hers to fried hard, after stating that this was the reason our food took almost 45 mins to get when she got them they were warm and rubbery... I would never recommend this location and I will not be returning! I will make the extra drive for better food and service."

"I dont know what I expected regarding the food, but I expected a little more. I know people really like this place but it's really just ok. The service is outstanding. I can't debate that at all. But the food was merely ok. Well this is for me anyway. We had roja and Verde salsa, and white queso. My wife loved her queso, but the salsas were not great I've had better. The roja salsa was decent with a very slight kick. The Verde had an odd taste to me that I couldn't take. It seemed to be to much lime or cilantro in it. We did have entrees. I had the 3 fajita steak tacos with a side of rice. The tacos were really good. They seasoned everything in those tacos. The rice was heavy on the lime and cilantro as well. I had to add hot sauce to eat it. My wife really liked her taco salad. The ingredients were fresh and the lime vinegarette was good as well. The only issue was the shell that held the salad was very greasy as if they didn't let it drain enough. The service was great. Like I always so check it out and let me know what you think."
