"For our starters, we shared the fondue and Tucker Farm salad, both of which were fantastic. For our main courses, we ordered the brisket pizza, skirt steak, glazed carrots, and pommes frites. The pizza, carrots, and frites were all excellent, but I wouldn't recommend the skirt steak. In my opinion, skirt steak isn't suited to be eaten on its own because of its texture; it really needs something to wrap it in. The steak was barely seasoned, making it quite bland without the sauces. Dipping it in the blue cheese crema and port reduction didn't help much; the port reduction needed to be cooked down further, as it tasted mostly like water, and the blue cheese crema was just okay. We finished the steak since it cost $35, but all three of us agreed that we didn't really enjoy it.
After the main course, we ordered the Banana Soufflé. While the soufflé itself was delicious, we felt that the pineapple gelato didn’t complement it well; the pineapple flavor was too strong and overshadowed everything else, to the point where we could barely taste the caramel. Next time, I would definitely opt for vanilla bean gelato, which I believe would enhance the dish significantly.
Overall, it was a great dining experience, and we will certainly be back!"
