"Cho Cho San (Revolving Sushi) in Tarzana has been my go-to since 2005. The recipes are amazing! The flavors, incredible! I 'm writing this because I care! I 'm writing this in hopes that the current management will take note. It 's said that the customer who fails to complain is the most important customer.Again, the food is delicious! Unfortunately, there 's been too much employee turn over. The presentation isn 't what it once was. The portions have gotten smaller. Over time, the best sushi artists left with no forwarding addresses. When the conveyor broke, they stopped getting it repaired. This brought down the already lackluster ambiance. If I 'm bringing sushi home for guests; I will go to the Encino location and have them make the food Tarzana style . Other people do this as well because the Tarzana location is FAMOUS for being the best!I sincerely hope that this place turns around."

"Firstly, I'd like to mention we've been regulars at Verf's for a couple years, and while slow at times, service has usually been exceptionally accommodating, no matter the staff. However, the recent update to the menu prices has me considering whether we can continue to afford supporting the venue as often as we once enjoyed, outside of special occasions. All our favorite dishes have been hiked up anywhere from an additional $5 to $9! A whopping 30% upcharge across the menu from what it was before. Fish Chips 16.99 21.99 6oz Salmon Bacon wrapped Shrimp 24.99 33.98 (or 26.99 w/o Shrimp 12oz Ribeye 33.99 42.99 (now comes with a shrimp skewer? Our server, while kind, kept pushing us items on the new menu, which we did not appreciate. We decided to mention how we were already unhappy about the price hikes after his third push, hoping he would stop. Unfortunately, he instead continued to attempt selling us on a $12 slice of cake throughout the meal. He tried to reassure us the prices were raised only by $2 on average per entree, though we have photos of the menu from earlier this year proving otherwise... He also mentioned how the prices have not been raised in half a decade, which is also untrue as proven by photos shared on Google Maps. Don't get me wrong, the food is generally still quite stellar! And if you feel the increased prices are deserved, by all means, I can only speak from my personal position. But unfortunately with a whopping 30% hike in price menu wide, I'm uncertain if we can continue to afford supporting the venue as regulars, or even recommend Verf's to friends anymore."

"TL;DR Food is nothing but average: too much garlic and overcooked. Service is average and nothing better. I got to get this out of the way first, out server was SO ANNOYING. Every single time he came up to our table, he would ask us if we were celebrating something. Every time we'd say no. Every time he kept asking. It clearly shows inattentiveness. We ordered a bunch of dishes. We ordered oysters Rockefeller, escargot and frog legs for starters. The oysters were very good, but the escargot and frog legs had WAY too much garlic. I'm typing this hours later and still have the taste of garlic in my mouth from these two freaking dishes. You literally couldn't taste anything but garlic. Many of us subbed the house salad for our entree for the onion soup. The onion soup is very good here as many have pointed out. I can confirm that it is very good. I got the salmon, and the rest of the people in my party got the rack of lamb, halibut and chicken cordon Bleu. The salmon was okay. The cranberry topping you could barely taste. As a result the salmon was quite bland and it was also slightly overcooked. The mashed potatoes were decent: they were silky smooth. The rack of lab was clearly way over cooked from the photos. It was definitely medium well instead of medium rare. The portion size was good, but it definitely wasn't salted enough and tasted a little gamey, when I tried it. I was told the halibut was good, but the chicken cordon Bleu wasn't worth finishing. We threw all our leftovers away as we didn't think anything was worthwhile saving."

"Two Rows is always a solid choice for us. My only issue is with the smoky bar, but I believe they make an effort to mitigate it with special vents and enclosure. The food is consistently good - hot, fresh, and with a wide selection ranging from burgers to steaks, Mexican dishes, and salads. They even saved us on Thanksgiving when our turkey didn't turn out as expected. One of our go-to favorites during the busy school year is their teriyaki chicken to go. The "Two Go" door makes it easy to pick up your order quickly. Their pizzas are particularly outstanding thanks to the pizza oven. With delicious drinks, bread, and Texas-sized portions, Two Rows is a great spot for a meal."

"Food was good. Our waitress was good. My complaint is we were told we’d have a 45 minute wait. After waiting 90 minutes we were told we were next to be seated. Didn’t get seated until 2.5 hours after we arrived. When I complained to front staff, was told they ‘aren’t allowed to quote a wait over 1 hour’. I believe this is dishonest. "I discovered this restaurant online and decided to stop by while I was in the area. It exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. The fried green tomatoes with pimento spread were especially memorable. Each person in our group tried something different and thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I would definitely go out of my way to dine here again. I want to give a special thanks to Ashlee J, our server who truly stood out as one of the best I have ever encountered. She consistently made sure our glasses were full and was always friendly and polite. She truly made our dining experience incredible."

"This charming, no-frills restaurant in a strip mall is a delightful spot. The portions are generous and the food is truly satisfying. "I’ve been debating posting this review but I really want the owners to know that first impressions make a difference. It was my families first time going to Turk Lake after hearing good things. Sad to say it will be our last. We arrive and we are one of two tables in the entire establishment. We are greeted with someone telling us to take a seat anywhere. We find a nice large booth and go sit at it. Our server (I believe her name was Amy) eventually comes over and passive aggressively says “So actually this section is closed……. Kinda why the lights are off”. Wouldn’t have been such a big deal to move had she been apologetic and asked us. But the rudeness was just too much. We move seats to a much smaller booth. We place our order and shortly after it is delivered to us. Our appetizer never arrived so we asked if we were still getting it. Our server said “Oh” and disappeared for a minutes, bringing back very undercooked deep fried pickles. No apologies (sensing a pattern here), she sets them down and mentions she doesn’t know how that was missed. Food was alright, same Gordon’s stuff you find everywhere around here but overall no complaints about our meals besides the pickles (Although I assume they’d be better if not rushed due to them being forgotten). But the lack of service was just too much for us to want to give the restaurant another try for a while."

"Absolutely terrible and disturbing. A friend of mine stayed there while moving, and here's a summary of their experience: The hotel will find any way to extract money from you, whether by falsely accusing you of damaging a pre-existing issue in the room or by refusing to let you check out and refund you due to the awful conditions. By the way, the phones in the rooms do not make outgoing calls, and the staff doesn’t even know how to transfer an incoming call to your room, responding with, “we don’t do that.” There was mold, leaking ceilings, and they will overbook, taking your belongings out of your room and kicking you out. How is this place still in business?"

"An excellent traditional steak house that hit all the important marks with room for small execution improvements. We were seated quickly upon arrival. The table was wobbly which the staff resolved immediately. We started with some wine which was presented with class and it kicked off a great night. The first course included clams and spring rolls. Spring rolls were delicious with subtle sauces on the side. The clams were overly salty but the flesh was yummy still. Onto the main course, we ordered goth the porterhouse and aged cowboy ribeye. Both were cooked to perfectly medium rare per our request. I don’t know if this is intentional or not but I felt both steak needed salt as it was a little bland on its own without their homemade sauce. The side of spinach needed a little salt too as it was bland. It’s almost as if they thought since we said clams were too salty, they decided to omit all salt in the following dishes, haha. To finish off, we ordered the special lava desert cake. The cake came out a little too haha t which instantly melted all the ice cream stripping away the cold and hot combination of this desert. Even still, it was delicious with balanced flavors and not too sweet. It just needed to rest a little before you add ice cream on top. Overall, excellent service, reasonable prices, and good atmosphere."

"Super beautiful, modern interior. Great food. I got the chicken Parmesan and the portion was very generous. I probably could have shared with another person. I do love leftovers though. Upon being seated, they also give the table fresh bread and olive oil to dip, which was tasty. "Although my dining experience at this restaurant has always been very positive, the quality of the food I have received with their delivery has been subpar. On one occasion, I received a $16 sandwich with half of the meat on soggy bread. When I brought this issue to the manager, they did not make any effort to resolve the complaint from a loyal customer. This lack of customer service speaks volumes about their priorities. While their prices are not cheap, the low quality of their products is starting to impact customer satisfaction. It is disappointing to have to take pity on the terrible manager I have been dealing with."

"I absolutely love Omega's! The orange juice is definitely fresh-squeezed and tastes fantastic. The omelets can be hit or miss – some days they're incredible, while other days they don't quite hit the mark. When they're good, though, they're truly outstanding! The hash browns have a similar inconsistency. My husband and I always request our bacon to be crispy, as it tends to be a bit softer than we prefer if we don’t specify that."
