"This restaurant offers fantastic value. I absolutely loved the biscuits and gravy; they tasted just like something out of my grandmother's kitchen on a Sunday morning. One morning, I had the steak and eggs, and the next, I tried the veggie omelet. The portions are generous, and the service is very friendly. Atlantic Beach is a quaint little beach town, and this establishment fits right in—I can see why it has been around for over 50 years. They also serve lunch and dinner, and I noticed an advertisement for all-you-can-eat shrimp, but we only had breakfast this time. We’ll definitely have to come back and try it next time we’re in the area."

"The food at Smithfields is consistently great, and the servers are friendly. I recently visited on 09/29/23 and enjoyed the combination plate. While the portions have shrunk and prices have increased over the years, you can always rely on Smithfields for delicious food. Thank you for bringing your restaurant to South Brunswick. "The food was excellent. However, some staff members could benefit from dressing more appropriately. The restaurant itself could use a thorough cleaning and better organization. A few employees need additional training in customer service and etiquette to treat guests with respect. Since it was my first visit, I would have appreciated a bit more assistance with the menu and their processes. As I mentioned, the food was great. If you decide to address these issues, you'll improve the experience. If not, things are unlikely to change."

"Authentic Southern BBQ is a rarity in Arizona, but if this restaurant were to open here, it would undoubtedly outshine all the other BBQ joints. Even the big fast food chains like McDonald's, Burger King, and Arby's wouldn't stand a chance. Personally, if I had the means, I would be the first to launch a Smithfield BBQ in Arizona. The hush puppies are beyond amazing—they're on a whole different level, and it’s tough to put into words just how incredible they are unless you've experienced authentic Southern cuisine firsthand. (Just to clarify, that’s a joke; you should never lay a hand on your parents!) The combination of the food, service, grilled selections, sweet tea, and those hush puppies can really turn a bad day around. I'm excited to share this incredible experience with all of you!"

"If I could give a negative review, I would. The more I think about it, the more disappointed I am. I ordered 2 pages of meat from Door Dash. For all who say well, I have ordered from Door Dash and that could have been the problem here are the facts. My order was confirmed by 1:41 and delivered at 2:04. I live near the restaurant. The ribs were EXTREMELY COLD. I expected it to fall off the bone. Apparently, other people show reviews that their food is cold, even if it is in. I ordered hot wings and they were also COLD, rubber. The hot wings weren't sharp, ever! The food tasted like it was a day old and reheated. The string beans are the big string beans and it had ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR NOR SEASONING! Also cold! Hush puppies were warm and was something delicious. The only thing that was good was this golden sauce; not sure if they have a name for it, but that was appetite. Maurice? I'm an entrepreneur. My guests leave reviews. Please read yours and improve. Please take this negative experience and turn it around. Please stop the reheating of food and serving for the next day. I know reheated food when I taste it. I'm so disappointed! Ah! A total waste of $27.03. I could have spent it somewhere else."

"We were hoping this would be a hole-in-the-wall kinda pizza joint but it was the opposite. The pizza tasted like boxed pizza. Not even as good as Sams club pizza. The wings were just ok but not great. Our meal came with a piece of cheesecake but when they served it, the cake was frozen solid. We couldnt even pierce it with a fork. We took it home and when it finally thawed, it was not good. If they wat to grow this place, better pizza is a must but the atmosphere was not great either. We will definitely not be coming here again."

"Breaks my heart to leave this review as this place was one of my favorites all throughout my childhood. When we arrived there were only 3 other tables seated, so none of this can be chocked up to them being busy.I ordered the fried catfish caesar. What came out was blackened catfish. The server asked me if it was OK, and as I was thinking about whether my stomach could handle blackened (I have issues with Cajun seasoning) he set my plate down with a resounding it 's OK and walked away. I was stunned.My fiance got the two meet combo. The biscuit had zero salt flavor and was incredibly dry. The tritip was literally sliced like deli meet. Razor thin, and just as dry as the brisket. The biscuit that came with her meal was dry, and looked straight out of the can. Definitely not the big fluffy biscuits I remember.After having our food dropped, we were ignored for the rest of the night. It was obvious that our server didn 't want to ask us how our food was to avoid me saying the blackened catfish wasn 't really doing it for me. No further refills, no asking if I wanted a 2nd beer (which I did). We had to ask for our check, and when our server (who I 'm pretty sure was the manager, they didn 't appear to have any dedicated servers) took my credit card, he didn 't say a single word to us.Needless to say.... Yikes. This was probably my 30th time coming here. First time in a few years though, and it seems like it 's gone completely down hill. Will be hard to justify coming back."

"This restaurant is a true Southern gem. The only downside is that it is only open from Thursday to Saturday. The decor may be a bit outdated, but it is cozy, informal, and spacious. The food, on the other hand, is anything but outdated! We have been frequenting this place for years and no one can match their Carolina BBQ with its perfectly balanced flavors. The fried chicken is incredibly juicy and flavorful, with just the right amount of breading. The hush puppies and other side dishes are also delicious, although I can't vouch for all of them since I stick to the BBQ and featured sides. They serve sweet tea, as well as other sodas. The bathrooms are clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. You can dine in or take your meal to go, and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant is conveniently located on 301 or Exit 107 off I-95."

"Ight folks..honest review here. I took an hr drive to Gradys today to see what the hype is about and sheeeshh.The service was phenomenal. Its like you're family. Its a small dining area but cozy. We loved the atmosphere. The line was ridiculous and wait time was about 25 minutes just to order but we didnt mind. Everyone in there was friendly. Got our food in 5 minutes. $50 to feed a family of 4. I recommend snatching a table while you wait to order. The Que was amazing, probably the best Ive had thus far and my wife enjoyed it so much that she went and ordered more and shes not a big bbq fan. They mix in crispy pieces of skin in their bbq which=amazing. I scarfed it down and then came the fried chicken. IMHO, the real star of the show was the fried chicken. Holy smokes! Made me wanna smack my momma and do a happy dance. My 12 year old daughter left nothing but bones. The breading is just that good and it was NOT overdone and dry which is very easy to do with fried chicken breast. It was juicy and tender fresh out the fryer. The sides and banana pudding were good too. We tried the butter beans, potato salad, boiled potatoes, rice and gravy and crinkle fries. All were good. We liked the food so much, that we went and ordered some to go for later ??. Oh yea and their lemonade will have you questioning every other lemonade you've ever tasted...idk what they put it in it but you'll be asking for a refill before you even get your food. We'll probably take the hr drive once every 2 months to eat there now. ??"

"At what appears to be a small unassuming local dinner, locals travelers are welcomed with a smile and hometown charm. Wonderful homemade coleslaw comes out to the table while you wait for your meal. Fried green tomatoes were a special appetizer and they were fried to perfection. The hamburger was large! I could not finish the whole thing! My husband and son ordered the fried catfish plate. The fish was clean and flaky. Hush puppies were delicious, too. I would absolutely recommend checking them out!"

"After reading all the bad things people are saying, I had to write my own review. I have always enjoyed the food when traveling in the area. I don't mind exiting I-40 for the winding drive that seems to get longer the hungrier you are. The food is fresh, served so hot, the juices from the Scallop and Oysters will scald your mouth! The portions are generous and if I had one complaint it would be that the breading used makes it a little too salty but I would never want them to change it. Oh, and the Cole Slaw could use a little tweaking but I eat it. The bottom line is, you get more than you expected, the food is hot and well seasoned and I love it! If the service is bad, the waitress is nasty, don't leave a tip, that gets their attention. There's a tip jar at the cash register for the cook, if you want to show your appreciation for the good food, this is where you leave your tip!"

"My friend and I ate at the Lagrange Sandpiper on 7/24. The grilled mahi mahi was EXCELLENT. My only disappointment was that evidently in order to cut hack on expense the restaurant is using a soybean oil whipped spread on the table that tastes like grease and nothing near the taste of butter. In my opinion, it does the rest of their cooking a great disservice. When I asked about some real butter and explained that I did not like the taste of the spread, the waitress said that noone else had complained and that the spread had come from a box that has just been opened. I was complaning about the freshness . I am sure it tasted just as greasy when they first put it into the container. At any rate, the waitress did bring some melted butter from the kitchen for us."
