"**Appetizers:** The tuna poke was absolutely delicious, featuring fresh sushi-grade tuna, tomatoes, and onions marinated in soy sauce, served with crispy wontons. The goat cheese fondue was decent; it came in a small smoker with thinly sliced apples and an excessive amount of roasted bread. While I enjoy feta with apples, this cheese was less salty and ended up tasting a bit bland. The carrot soup, on the other hand, had a flavor profile that leaned more towards tomatoes, with only a hint of carrot. It definitely needed a bit more zest. **Main Courses:** The flat iron steak salad was tender and juicy, complemented by lovely mixed greens. The grilled salmon served over spaghetti Aglio e Olio and watercress was lovely, although the dish could have benefited from spinach instead of pasta for one of my friends who avoids carbs. **Dessert:** The Meyer Lemon dessert featured a thin layer of chocolate that was unnecessary; it was extremely tart and came with a bittersweet chocolate sauce. Personally, I found the combination of bitter chocolate and tart citrus unappealing. However, the fried apple cake with caramel ice cream was absolutely delicious."

"Thanks to other reviewers we tried the burnt ends as our app, I would have been happy with that as a meal and skipping right to a desert, next time. The Hubbs ordered the ribs, I had the brisket if I could have had the sauce that came with the burnt ends with my brisket I'm pretty sure I would have been in heaven. At first fork I thought I missed the bite, my fork cut through like a hot knife in butter, it was unreal. Protip: come here when you have an evening to enjoy the company around you, and take your time. Like everywhere, staffing issues are affecting the speed of service, they are doing what they can, including having a meal delivery cat robot that is an experience unto itself. App: Beef Tips amazing Meals: Ribs Good, Brisket= delightful Sides: fries meh, seasoned well, but still just fries. We ordered the mac n'cheese but it did not arrive, and we needed to head out before that was addressed. I would go back, especially with out-of-town guests or friends I just wanted to soak every moment in with."

"Disappointing Experience at This Bar We had a very disappointing experience at this bar. Upon entering, we were immediately directed upstairs to purchase our drinks. We were told that there were seats available upstairs. When we got there, we saw that there were free tables, but we were told that we couldn't sit there. We were then sent further up because there were supposedly more seats available. However, when we got to the top, we found no free chairs. It felt like they just wanted to sell us drinks quickly without considering that we had no place to enjoy them comfortably. We felt completely deceived and taken advantage of. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable. It seems like the people here are only interested in money and not in providing good service or ensuring the well-being of their guests. We cannot recommend this bar and definitely won't be coming back."

"The BBQ was also fantastic. The ribs were so tender that I joked with our friends that Dave Poe’s could market them to nursing homes, saying, "Leave your dentures in the drawer, you won’t need them!" The brisket was incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly, with just a hint of pink in the middle. Their house sauce complemented both the ribs and brisket very well. If I had to offer some constructive criticism, it would be regarding the dessert and overall cleanliness of the dining area. We tried the banana pudding, which was not the traditional baked version with meringue topping, but rather instant pudding with some bananas and vanilla wafers. We also sampled the fried apple pies, which reminded me a lot of just standard fast-food fried pies. As for cleanliness, the floors and tables could have used a little more attention; they were sticky and dirty, which can happen in busy places without dedicated waitstaff. All in all, if you love great BBQ and even have a slight appreciation for mac and cheese, you should absolutely make a trip to Dave Poe’s! I give it 5 stars!"

"As for the food—what a disappointment! The onion rings and French fries were extremely dry, a far cry from what I expect from The Varsity. Instead of the usual crispness, the rings were rubbery and the fries tasted stale and oily. The hot dog was passable, reflecting its typical fast-food quality, but the chili burger was completely inedible. It was overloaded with pickle slices, apparently meant to mask the taste and texture of the frozen "impossible burger." The closed parking lot had no bearing on the poor quality and flavor of the food served to my husband and me. Sadly, this experience at The Varsity in Norcross, Gwinnett County, has guaranteed that I won’t be returning. Very disappointing!"

"We went here to try the burger on a recommendation! We ordered the long island burger with bacon wheel! For us the selling point was the bacon wheel, it’s the perfect addition to the burger, a perfect sized bacon that fits in to the burger, if you don’t lift the bun you wouldn’t notice the bacon! Never seen that anywhere.. The fries were the best, thin and crispy with good seasoning! Overall we thought the burger was very tasty, food amount of cheese had some nice flavours going on with the potential of improving! Of course we are being a bit picky as we were on a foodie tour patty could be cooked a bit better was underwhelming as it was slightly overcooked!! We would appreciate if the server asks us how would we want our burger to be cooked! And the ratio of the meat to bun was not right with the bun probably not able to handle the filling weight! A nice place with American diner vibes to enjoy a decent burger!"
