"Unfortunately I will not be coming back. I came in tonight and asked for my order when the server arrived, and it came back to me all wrong. For starters I only ordered one egg. Second, as my bf pointed out, this has to be the fifth time we've gotten cold soggy toast. Every kitchen I've ever worked in has either had a person dedicated to making toast, or a cook with good time management skills. That is not true of this kitchen. Third, I ordered American cheese on my potatoes, but I got them with cheddar, I can't stand the texture of cheddar cheese on my hash browns because it gets clumpy and nasty, as it was. The sausage links were great. Next we need to discuss the server. Sweet girl, but not only did she not catch the mistakes made, but she didn't provide us with silverware. I had to ask her for it. She walked away and came back, with another pair of straws, and no silver. As if we were meant to eat the already cold, soggy, and misprepared food with our hands now as well?? We're both sitting here depressed. $30 we could have spent better, we decided to go here in memory of our best friend Chris Heller (who just passed away from brain cancer last week), who convinced us to come here for the first time together with him five years ago. Back then the rye bread was actually dark rye, and delicious. Mike Collis (Scrollis) was the cook and a fine cook, at that, even if he's mentally ill. The toast never came out soggy, if the kitchen messed something up the waitress noticed (btw that waitress was there tonight working the bar area and is still, in our opinion, a fine waitress and woman and I wish we would have gotten her instead) and we would have never known, and we were quite aware why this place was here. It's definitely not what it used to be. Wasting money hits different when it's on food you've been craving and it comes out nasty."
