"This was our first visit there and certainly not our last. The empanadas were outstanding. They also recently opened a little mercado at the Downey location. We went there, bought some stuff, and wished we would have bought more. Can't wait to return for dinner as this visit was for lunch only."

"As for the food, it wasn't a hit with us. We ordered a variety of salads, appetizers, pastas, and a mixed grill platter to share. The portions were generous, but the meat on the mixed grill was incredibly overcooked. We managed to flag down our server, who was polite and offered to get us a new platter. However, she asked us to put the uneaten meat back on the platter to avoid getting in trouble. I understand the reasoning, but it felt odd, as if we might be suspected of trying to score a free meal or something. Why would our server be reprimanded when the kitchen was at fault? The replacement platter was cooked to medium as we'd initially requested. Maybe we had lost our appetites during the wait, but everything tasted just average. We ended up with a lot of leftovers that no one wanted to take home. Also, we had planned to celebrate with birthday cake there, but we opted to leave quickly and have cake at Starbucks next door instead, as it became quite frustrating trying to hear each other over the loud noise. The highlight of the meal was the complimentary bread and spicy chimichurri sauce."

"Absolutely amazing experience. My husband and I went here for date night. Was easy to get a same day reservation which was nice. He got a draft beer and I had the jalapeño paloma (delightful! . Cocktails were priced slightly high for the size but it’s what I would expect from a nicer restaurant. We ordered the Argentine Parrillada for two and it was PHENOMENAL. It was a great price for appetizer, side, and entree! Plus a great way to try multiple meats. The NY strip and Argentine farmhouse sausage were perfectly cooked and delicious. The service was friendly, food came out quick, and we left incredibly full! Will definitely be back again!"

"I've wanted to try this place for a while. They seem to always have a bogo deal when you order online through their website. We ordered a regular crust pizza and it looked thin, which made me wonder how thin is their thin crust??? For the price, the pizza was good. Wasn't the best pizza but I would order form here again. My wife ordered a custom pizza with white sauce, shrimp and other stuff and it had a good amount of shrimp. I had the supreme pizza and looking back at the ingredients on it...The supreme is suppose to have: Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Ham, White Onions, Black Olives, Mushrooms, Green Peppers, Jalapenos, Mozzarella Cheese and Our Classic Red Sauce. But when you click to order it online, it says the list of ingredients with. $1 next to it so you build your own supreme pizza but select all the ingredients you want. My wife is particular with pork so the supreme was too porky for her. They have a good amount of topics on it, I would have preferred more,but hey for the bogo price I really can't complain because they need to make enough profit to stay alive."

"We live a block away and sit at the bat to have a martini while waiting for our to go order. Food is consistently fine. Last night I had to ask the hostess if the bartender was servicing the far end of the bar. Jeff was casually talking to another guestwith. no eye contact or engagement with any other customers save picking up her neighbor's payment. It was literally 10 minutesbefore he even acknowledged us, then took our order and made three table drinks before finishing ours. I wanted to letmanagement know privately but there's no Contact Us on their website. We'll be back, but if Jeff is working we'll go elsewhere."

"being vegan and gluten-free, I loved my salad options! I had the delicious beet salad with arugula, apples, spiced walnuts and dried cranberries, and it was so filled that I could hardly finish it! Our waitress was wonderful as we were there for us when we needed them, but we let ourselves sit and visit as long as we wanted. We made a reservation so that we could have a quiet corner to relax among friends, and there was a nice ambience for the place. Try it!"

"This wonderful restaurant never misses a beat when it comes to service and quality. Only one time in hundreds of times eating here have I ever received an order that “didn’t taste right” and since I order it all the time I just asked if they could simply remake it and they did without a hassle. I think they serve the best clam chowder in town, and definitely the best fish chips of all time, so if you’re visiting Santa Barbara for some sea food, this is a must stop. (The fish chips is way better here than at Lure or Fishhouse! I always order the Baja fish tacos, but the shrimp tacos look amazing. The food is really wonderfully put together and high quality and not “fishy” it’s casual, affordable, easy to take to-go on a picnic lunch and they even have a rewards program that saves me pretty often. I love this place and I’m a huge fan and super thankful to the excellent service! (Aisha has been working here as long as I can remember, shout-out to her! It gets super busy here so order online in advance if you’re in a hurry. (Great tap beers here too! In my opinion this is the best spot in Santa Barbara! mercí!"

"Listen, it's hard for south of the border natives to believe us gringos can handle the heat. They packed me a wallop! This husband and wife are serving up the best food anyone can ask for. I've had everything from here. On Sundays, that is my saddest day, because when the taste for tamales shows up on a Sunday, Mara's can't help you. However, these pork tamales are fantastic they rival the best milwaukee has to offer. If you haven't visited, you're just not living. They were pandemic proof and are still pushing out tasty food today. 5 stars is all I can say, let your taste buds do the rest!!"
