"If this is what school was really like, take me back! There was 2 things I knew I had to get the Uni Flan and the Squid Ink Pasta. I came here with my sister and we were super excited to try those two items since we love uni and we love squid ink. We started with the uni flan and liked it, but wasn't what we expected. Aside from the fresh pieces of delicious uni on top, we thought that the flan part would taste more like uni. Nevertheless, it was still good especially on top of the crunchy bread crackers and also with the saltiness of the fish roe. It was a great starter. Then we got the squid ink pasta. I thought it could have tasted a little more like squid ink, but the broth was amazing! They were generous with the portion of the seafood as well and you can bet that we both slurped up the last drop of our soup. Overall, it was a great meal, nice place (with a cool patio if it was warmer) and friendly staff."

"I had a wonderful experience at this Asian fusion restaurant located in the heart of Birmingham! The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. They offer a variety of delicious tofu options for vegetarians. The restaurant is kid-friendly and welcoming. However, parking may be a bit of a challenge as there is limited street parking nearby and I had to park at another business a block away. The wheelchair accessibility is decent at the entrance, but the sidewalks can be a bit steep."

"Sufis is a warm and welcoming place—it's a simple restaurant with plenty of parking, no expensive valet service, and they can accommodate last-minute reservations. It has a neighborhood feel, with an eclectic mix of patrons. During our visit for a celebration, we noticed a family from Afghanistan dining nearby. The father asked the waiter if he could sing, and he stood up to share a few lovely songs that added a heartfelt touch to the evening. The food is excellent, especially the hummus and pita bread. While the atmosphere is lively, it also allows for intimate conversations at your table. I absolutely love Sufis!"

"My coworkers and I had a reservation for 12 noon and were seated promptly. We were excited to try a Burmese restaurant as they are rare in the area. Although we were not in a hurry, the restaurant seemed to be rushing us. We ordered drinks and they immediately wanted us to order our food as well. We decided to wait until our drinks arrived before ordering our food. We chose the Burmese-style beef and goat stew, as well as the Moh Hin Ga (Fish Noodle Soup). While the sauces in the meat stews were decent, the meat itself was tough and not very tender. If you enjoy chewy meat, then these dishes might be for you. The Moh Hin Ga lacked flavor and one of my coworkers said they would not order it again. The soft drinks and iced tea were refilled for free. Overall, due to the rushed service and mediocre food, we will not be returning. Despite their high Yelp ratings, it seems like many patrons enjoy the restaurant. Perhaps we just caught them on a bad day or their usual chef was not working that day."

"I have been a huge fan of this place for years! I have brought many dates and friends here.It was always a great environment with true authentic Italian made food.. this last visit seemed like they completely lost motivation started cutting corners and stopped caring about their foodI got the chefs special... lambThere was no colorThe only juice it had was all the oilIt was smothered with rosemary to hide the fact the lamb was so old it already cooked itselfI can't believe they fell so low."

"In the past, I would often enjoy a lunch special there for around $20, which included an appetizer and a drink. This time, however, I was handed a confusing piece of paper that barely resembled a menu. I struggled to understand it but decided to order fried rice for $14, opting for beef. To my surprise, that cost an additional $5. I also wanted some spring rolls; the former lunch special used to include one, and I always ordered an extra because I liked them. Unfortunately, the new menu doesn’t include a salad, which was a nice touch at the old restaurant. So, my meal ended up being fried rice with beef, an order of spring rolls, and water, totaling a whopping $32 plus tip. To make matters worse, the food wasn’t even that great. Now I can cross one more place off my list when I’m looking for Thai food. Save yourself the trouble and don’t bother with this spot."
