"This place is fantastic! Hidden away on Hodgson Memorial Drive in Savannah, it’s one of the coolest restaurants/taverns I've ever visited. The hamburgers are incredibly delicious; I ordered the OMG burger along with some onion rings, and they were amazing. We also tried the Hawaiian 5-0 and Who's Your Patty, both of which tasted great and came in huge portions. The craft beers were excellent, and the Karate Champ paired perfectly with the burgers. The owner was actually in the kitchen cooking, which added a nice touch, and the staff was wonderful. I'm so glad I found this spot. Plus, who doesn't appreciate Ben Franklin?"

"First time stopping in to Sonney 's. Food was spectacular and the place has a great vibe. I had the Combo Platter w/ brisket, beef ribs, loaded baked potato, side salad and jalapeño cornbread! So much food...definitely could share this between two people easily. My only reason from dropping this down from 5 to 4 stars was the hostess that sat us. She was less then friendly and never asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. She just grabbed a couple menus and said this way ...led us to a table put the menus down and walked off. I watched her do this with a few other parties as they arrived also. Maybe she was just having a bad day but that first impression goes a long way. Other than that the staff were wonderful. Our waiter was great! For the food the ribs were pretty good...not overly meaty but decent. The brisket was perfect and the baked potato was a good size without being too large. Nice little side salad and a great jalapeño cornbread. They have four different bbq sauces at your table; a Carolina sauce, a sweet smoky sauce, the Original sauce and something they call the Burn Your Butt sauce (I stayed away from that one!! . My other recommendation would be to request no sauce on your meats. They came with some sauce on them but I would prefer to try the different sauces without mixing them together. Will be eating leftovers for a couple days. Again I recommend sharing a platter unless you are very hungry or want lots of leftovers!!!"

"What a disappointment! It used to be very good, but Nobody seemed to care! From the poorly presented plate that looked liked poorly saved leftovers, some cooked to much others not enought I care about breakfast and I usually have no problem speaking up… but it was so bad I just said the heck with it. "We are on an 30+ mile round trip cycling adventure from Spokane, WA to Post Falls, ID. @republickitchen&taphouse was our half way point. We visited pre pandemic and wondered what post pandemic would be like. Wonder no more it is not only better it was relaxing and so friendly that we wanted to stay longer but time is flying and the bikes are calling. The menu has changed, for the better I might add. Our fan favorite of hummus was gone and they added a Relish Extravaganza in its place for those of us with alternative dietary requirements. We had plain sweet potato fries that were more like fried sweet potato than French fries. It was a great move and they were meatier and more delicious if that is even possible. The relish extravaganza was phenomenal! We had pickled beets and peppers with fresh toasted olives, a lively bed of fresh greens and lightly roasted asparagus. The dip with the plate was wicked good or so the husband says with all of the goodies and including the sweet potato fries. Then because all of that was not enough they served us house made potato chips thick cut mind you! They were wicked good without the dip. Again hubby says with dip they were mmmm good! "

"I may be in the minority with my opinion, but while this restaurant is decent, I never feel particularly excited to go there. They offer a wide variety, so I can always find something to eat, and it’s usually quite good, but never outstanding. I've tried many different sandwiches, yet I’ve never craved anything from here. That said, it’s not a bad option for lunch when you want a change from your usual choices. The seating area is a bit cramped, and the wait is often longer than you'd expect, but these are relatively minor issues. I would definitely recommend checking it out at least once (and probably more) if you’re in the mood for a sandwich."

"We weren't able to sit outside, but that wasn't a huge surprise at 6:00 on a Thursday night. Jen was our server and was also bartending, so she was really busy. But she was attentive and informative and did a great job. I'll add that I messaged the restaurant in the morning to see about a reservation and was told they don't take them, but was also told we'd have no problem getting a table outside for dinner. I believe the wait for outdoor seating was around an hour when we got there, so we opted for a window booth inside. So be advised, send someone early for a table if you're dead set on eating outside. She recommended the rigatoni, which is a house specialty, as well as the fish tacos. She also said the burgers were still good. Two in our group had the rigatoni and agreed that it was great. I had the fish tacos and sweet potato fries and really enjoyed both. The 4th in our group had a burger and truffle fries, and said the burger was good and the truffle fries were the best he'd ever had. The food wasn't hot, but wasn't cold either. I could see where someone might complain, but our group understands the current climate in the service industry and doesn't get bent about things like that. The flavors and quality were above average, so no bad marks for food taking a little longer and not being piping hot when it hit the table. It seems like they've put a lot of work into cleaning the place up and making more room for seats. The colors and decor seem brighter than before. All in all it was a great casual dinner experience and I'm sure we'll go back. The menu has some really good looking new options we'd like to explore."

"I went a week ago, although it was not something extraordinary with the service, I had a good time, today I returned with 3 more friends, the super hostile service, 2 friends did not have ID, therefore they could not drink alcohol, but we commented that there was no problem, but not only did they not let us stay in the place, but they immediately requested to leave the place in a bad way,At the end another boy from the service asked us what had happened, I thought that he could reason and speak in a good way, but he was still hostile and bad treatment, I really don't know why he treated this way. I am a tourist, last day in Chicago, terrible service I went to The Owl excellent place and it makes a great atmosphere."

"As a follow-up to my original visit, I went back on Friday specifically for the oysters. I had a great experience on Wednesday, where I loved my burger, so I decided to order it again. We got one River Bottom burger and one classic burger. While the burger we had on Wednesday was large enough to cover the bun completely, the ones we received on Friday barely covered a quarter of the bun. We ordered them rare, but they arrived well done. After waiting an hour and a half, the oysters finally arrived and were delicious. However, the person who plated them clearly needs to work on their counting—there were only 10 oysters instead of the dozen we were supposed to get. Last I checked, a dozen means 12! What a difference two days can make!"
