"It was a disappointing experience last night and unfortunately I wish I would’ve asked for a manager rather than just paying $140 (after tip) and taking my undercooked food ToGo. Started with the Fondue, it was definitely nothing special for $18…. cheese, old bread cubes, mushrooms and halfway RAW chicken cubes. We were starving and our server hadn’t come back outside so we just ate the bread and shrooms and told her about the raw chicken. She removed it and said it would be “discounted”. In my 20 yrs of working in the restaurant industry I have NEVER had a item “discounted”. Who charges someone half the price since they ate half of it while waiting to find their server? Unreal. Our meals arrived and they were undercooked as well. It was like all the meat was cooked on the lowest setting or something. None of it had any color to it. The filet had no searing whatsoever. It was also prepared rare/MR rather than Med as ordered. The pasta dish was the same. No searing on the sausage or shrimp. The whole pieces of garlic were raw and crunchy. You absolutely can’t leave whole garlic in a dish and not properly cook it. My husband is always very accommodating to me and will switch dishes if I don’t prefer mine. Neither of us complained to each other but both of us, asked if the other would like to taste so we switched. After two bites, I knew I couldn’t eat anymore and he said “I just can’t eat this, it’s also raw”… he will literally eat anything usually. We boxed our meals paid the tab and left. The disappointment comes from: 1. me not speaking up… after working in a restaurant for forever, I HATE to complain. 2. This was my second time here and we had the same server both times. She didn’t remember us at first, but halfway through our meal she finally did. We had an app, large salad, 2 meals, dessert and drinks and ate EVERYTHING on our plates. $50 tip. This time we ordered half the amount of food and didn’t eat hardly any of it. Our server should’ve picked up on that"

"My main dish was the Duck plov/ or rice pilaf with cumin, carrots, and barberries. This was very tasty with a good amount of shredded duck. The berries added some extra sourness and overall I would say it reminded me of some of the Plov you find more in Azeri cuisine because of the fruitier flavor. Another person ordered the stroganoff which is pricey on the main menu but fantastic. I'm surprised the most expensive dish is on the prix-fixe but sure why not. Their only complaint about the latter is that there wasn't enough of the sauce to go with the buckwheat. I also tried a dumpling from someone else which was fine. I started with the Solyanka/ a soup made with salami (or listed with smoked ham on the main menu and I'm sure if there's actually a difference, olives, and mushrooms and served with sour cream of course. I've had the soup prior with fish and with meat and compared to other places, I would say perhaps it was a little bit less sour then the usual but it was still very tasty. I tried a piece of their khachapuri from someone else's non prix-fixe menu which was fine as well as the Shuba/Herring under a fur coat which was a tasty version though less fishy then the usual. As there's only two choices of desserts, I ordered the Honey Cake/Medovik/ and another person had the Syrniki/ or quark pancakes served with condensed milk and jam. The honey cake is fine but I'm spoiled by the very good one found in some other spots so we both preferred the latter which was very well made. Overall the food here was very tasty. I'm not sure if I would have found the menu to be as reasonable if said prix-fixe menu wasn't there but as of right now, I would say it's worth it."
