"What a scam! I don’t consider high prices in a tourist area as a tourist trap. Merchants pay a lot of money to open a store in these locations. What I consider a tourist trap is not giving people quality products or service, that is where the word trap comes into play. They charge tons of money and give you terrible food. We paid almost $7 for a double espresso that tasted like dirty water. The sandwiches are such a let down. I ordered an egg sandwich, it was a paper thin amount of scrambled eggs. They say it is two eggs but it is not, cheese that tastes like plastic and not even a full strip of bacon. I am not one to complain and I hate leaving reviews like this one because I know how hard it is on business owners but this deli takes advantage of people. I don’t mind paying high prices, I mind being scammed by paying a high price and not getting what I paid for. Do yourself a favor, go to star stage deli just one block away on 55th between 6th and 7th Avenue. They have great food, reasonable prices and friendly staff."
