"I've been dining here for over 25 years. I appreciate the renovations, but I do miss the old atmosphere. Liz provided us with excellent service, checking in on our meal to ensure everything was satisfactory. The sopes and tostada were outstanding. "This place gets full real quick. They have good music on the weekends with a live DJ. I love the decoration here, it is very Puerto Rican. They have a full bar and plenty of seating space, but remember it gets packed!! The food is very good and so arethe drinks. It?s a nice place to have lunch or dinner and alcoholic beverages. They are a little pricey and the just raisedtheir prices, can?t blame them with this inflation in the US. Paid $11 for a drink, almost $4 for Malta India, and $28 forMofongo relleno. The service was fast and the waitresses are lovely. Will come back anytime."

"For the past 20 years or so, Ramirez has been my go to place for mofongo but after today I may have to reconsider elsewhere. I ordered the shrimp mofongo, which is my favorite item on the menu. The waitress told me that it comes with a salad and avocado. I received neither. The sauce to mofongo needed a lot of work; it was watery and lacked the usual flavor I 've to come loveabout the sauce. I ate enough to feel somewhat satisfied and left the rest behind. When asked by the waitress how I foundeverything. I told her everything that was not to my liking and yet she responded with Well, it 's always been served that way;we still have the same cook. She was a new face to me mine isn 't to the establishment, so I can see her not knowing muchabout anything. Highly disappointed!!"

"Wow! What a fantastic meal! The portions are immense, and the flavors are simply exceptional. The roasted jalapeños added just the right amount of spice. I ordered the plantains and the chicken stew (Carne Guisada Pollo Guisado), and it was incredible. Definitely 10+ stars!!!!!"
