"Next, the fried clams were the worst I've ever had. I mentioned this to two different servers, but there was little acknowledgment or consideration from them. Unfortunately, this seems to be typical for South Beach. They claimed the clams were fresh, but if that were the case, the batter was far too heavy, the clams were overcooked, and they were extremely dry. If these were fresh clams, it’s clear that the chef does not know how to prepare them.
While the servers themselves were good, they didn’t seem to communicate my concerns to the management. I made it clear that I didn’t want a refund and left an 18% tip. However, it appears that businesses in South Beach are often arrogant and disregard the opinions of locals. Best of luck, but I won’t be returning to your restaurant or recommending it to others.
