"My brothers and I came here for our first time (place was recommended to is by my little sister and cousin in law) First impression: The place was very basic Asian spot. Also, realized it closes earlier than most restaurants we've been to (7:30pm) on a Wednesday night. It wasn't very busy and we sat ourselves. Food and drinks: Our server gave our table a pitcher of water and 3 plastic cups. Then directed us to the QR code on the table (I do enjoy ordering on my phone btw. I don't feel rushed and all three of us are pretty introverted). We all ordered on one phone. Started with shrimp tempura and popcorn chicken. I did enjoy the popcorn chicken more than the shrimp tempura. Then we were served our entrees curry beef udon noodles hot plate, beef hot plate and a salmon and beef hot plate with kimchi and rice. We also ordered boba. A matcha, crème brûlée and a strawberry latte. The boba was just okay. The crème brûlée tasted more like brown sugar boba than crème brûlée. The hot plates came sizzling. I wished it stayed hot longer to cook my beef as I have a weak stomach and like all my meat well cooked. My brothers didn't have that problem and enjoyed every bit of it. We checked out on our phone the same way we ordered and walked out without having to talk to anyone. (Introvert friendly for sure). It was a very chill dinner for sure and I will be coming back to try their Hawaiian plates."

"We were craving some BBQ so we decided to check out this place decided to pick up some food to go. We got a BBQ chicken plate, a fried shrimp plate (comes with 2 scoops of rice, mac salad, over a bed of steamed cabbage), spam musubi, chicken katsu musubi, and BBQ chicken musubi. When we got home, we found out that they had given us fried fish instead of fried shrimp. We called and the server, Kevin, told us he'd comp us with a free order of fried shrimp if we came back the next day with the receipt. However, they were nice enough to give us an entire plate. Now onto the food itself BBQ chicken 3.5/5. Flavors are great. Sweet, savory, and smoky. But the chicken itself was a little dry for me. Once I put it in the microwave, it softened up quite a bit. Fried fish 2.5/5. the breading was nice and crispy, but the fish itself was quite dry, tough, and underseasoned. Fried shrimp 3/5. I felt like the breading:shrimp ratio was a little too heavy on the breading and a little too bland for my liking. My biggest issue with all 3 plates were that the rice was terribly underseasoned. I felt like the shortcomings on the protein could've been overlooked if the rice had some more flavor, but sadly, no. The musubi, however, was DELICIOUS. I mean, really really good. So good that we ended up getting more the next day. The meats were delicious, the seaweed wrap was great, and the rice was topped with a sweet and savory katsu sauce that made everything way better. Easily a 4/5 for all of them. Prices are great for the amount of food we received, and ambience is decent for a chain restaurant. Personally, I wouldn't dine in, but that's just because I prefer to eat at the comfort of my own home. I'd probably come back again, but I'd stick to the chicken plate and definitely pick up a couple of musubi."

"This was a spur-of-the-moment stop to get some quick grub before an evening at Glen Ivy. Didn't bother to check reviews (which I normally do beforehand) since we really just wanted to get a cheap bite to eat. I've seen Maui Hawaii Barbeque many times before, as it sits near my bank. This was my first time here and honestly, it wasn't bad. Reading all the bad reviews kind of made my stomach churn just a little, but most seem to complain about the timing of the food coming out. I concur. The place is dated and could use a good re-vamp to spice it up. I ordered the Fish Sandwich, and a Pineapple Smoothie with Boba. My friend ordered a Teriyaki Chicken Bowl before me and it came out within about 5 minutes. For whatever reason, my Fish Sandwich took a good while to come out. I must have gone up to the counter at least twice and it still wasn't ready. There was one other party seated and already halfway done with their meal, so I was baffled at how long it was taking. There was only one cook from what I could see, and he seemed to be taking his time. The petite lady who ran the register was nice. When my sandwich was finally ready, she brought it out to me on a tray, along with my smoothie. The sandwich itself was pretty damn good if I must say so myself! The fish was nice and hot, and it was a very good size. The smoothie was not the best I've had, as it really just tasted like a bunch of frozen pineapple chunks were blended together with ice and poured into a cup of boba. Bland and blah, but I was not expecting it to taste great coming from a place that specializes in Hawaiian fast food. Ended up ordering another Fish Sandwich for a friend who was running late, and came to join us. Funny that her sandwich came to us in about 5 minutes, compared to my wait of about 15 or so. She had no complaints either. Overall it's a solid 3.5 stars for me. Good customer service, and easily accessible near the 15 freeway with an open parking lot. If I had to come again, I would, but I'd hope the cook steps up his game. Maybe he was in chill mode since it was a Sunday afternoon, but we were in a little bit of a time crunch. Other than that, the food is good but some of the prices are high imo. $6.39 for an order of 2 Spam Musubi??? You can buy a can for around $5 or less and have at least 8! Oh, and if you need to use the restroom, you have to ask for the key which is attached to a spaghetti ladle! Don't lose it, lol!"

"Service: When we arrived (after 5pm car was parked in between the two disabled spots. Turns out it belonged to the hospitality manager , who said he had parked there in the morning to unload some things. The car was blocking the only disabled ramp in the parking lot. I understand if you need to pull up there for a minute or two, but apparently he 'd been there all day, and when he came to apologize at the table, only proceeded to give excuses about why he did it (it was busy, they were short staffed etc. etc. clearly he has no idea how to handle customer complaints. The bar was closed there was a man making a drink and said that he was just making a drink for a table but the bartender hadn 't shown up to work (so I didn 't order a mixed drink tried for a simple beer. It still hadn 't arrived, when the food came so about 5 minutes later I asked, 5 minutes after that the server came back to say thy didn 't have that kind, so I just went with water. The server and busser were nice, but taking the brunt of other issues as I heard several complaints from tables around me. Food: I ordered a ribeye steak medium it came out super well done, but I was over it by this time so decided not to send it back. I did tell the hospitality manager though and he only had excuses. My dinner partner ordered a smokehouse combo, and commented that if I thought my steak was bad, I should try his super dry ribs... no thank you... Ambiance: what you would expect from a Chili 's. To sum up, I might come back If I see an Under New Management , or Coming Soon: [insert other restaurant name] sign. If it were possible to give zero or negative stars I would!"
