"We decided to celebrate Valentine's day at Brick American Kitchen. We were able to get a reservation on Valentine's day which was very positive. We were also seated promptly when we arrived to the restaurant. It was early evening, so the restaurant was not very full. Our server was okay, but overall not very friendly or attentive. The food took a while to come out, but overall it was good. The experience at the restaurant was okay, but short of good or great. I will come back, but not as often as I would if the experience was better."

"Driven past this corner for a decade but finally went in the establishment for the 1st time. The setup of the facility integrates perfectly being on a street corner. The outside patio and bar are well designed on the main street and the restaurant side has window seats on the less busy, scenic side street. Food presentation, time delivery, temperature table arrival, portion size, and staff friendliness are a great combination that add to the quality of the precise food flavor and it's carefully selected grade A ingredients. After dining in and relocating to the bar area for a drink and dessert, the environment was a social mix of people that were all friendly. The bartender (he) was like a MC that had everything operating smoothly to make certain you had an enjoyable experience. He had tvs and music as bar accessories that catered to attendees to include everyone in the experience. It was definitely a great vibe that requires repeated visits. Cheers!"

"I have visited this restaurant several times. The first time was amazing, but the second time left me feeling disappointed. During my third visit, I encountered a rude waitress and my steak was overcooked and tough like shoe leather. I am not sure what changed, but it was not a positive experience. I may not return to this restaurant in the future."

"The food was absolutely fantastic! Gourmet dishes freshly cooked and served by the helpful, attentive wait staff. I enjoyed the trout with black olive puree and baked radishes. My wife had the pork dish that had a baked and stuffed pastry. The meat was tender and flavorful. The dessert menu was brief, but had delicious offerings. I hear that Locavore will cease operation after the of July weekend, and the theme will be changed to a more homey style of food. What a shame. The restaurant reminded me a lot of Artist's Pointe in Disney World. I would dine there again without hesitation. Sorry to see it go"

"Extremely poor customer service. As a frequent of Zak's initially, I have never been so disappointed. We had a reservation for 8:00pm but did not get seated until 9:00pm. I was very understanding that it was the first Friday of lent, however there was never an apology or acknowledgement of how late things were until I brought it to their attention. "Saltus River Grill is a very good restaurant. Our server was superb...we wanted a leisurely dinner and he handled that perfectly, taking our order in stages. Ambiance is very nice, though it is a little noisy. Our meals were excellent...I had a Delmonico that was cooked pretty much to the medium rare I requested. My wife did not care for her entree but that was a matter of personal preference, no fault of the restaurant. We will be back!"

"I visited during Valentine’s Day hoping the place would be a nice place to take my date. The server was not attentive. I ordered a prime rib medium with what I was told was house made Mac cheese. What I got was a huge plate of craft Mac cheese. When my prime rib came out it was BURNT. Served with sides I did not order. I over heard the lady next to me, who was served pasta that she ordered prime rib well done with the same sides I had been served. She and I joked that I must’ve been served her plate. The meat was tooo dry for me so I asked to please send it back and get me my order. minutes later my waiter returns telling me that he is so sorry but they have run out of prime rib. While he did ask me if I would like anything else, my date had already finished their meal and I booked other things for us to do after dinner. While it was Valentine’s Day the restaurant didn’t look particularly busy. It’s a restaurant in a packed casino so I’m sure the staff should be accustomed to some kind of volume. If it makes any difference my date had pork chops and said they were very good."

"The service was good and the food was ok, but they were not helpful at all with our stroller even though the place was empty save for two other tables throughout the time we were there. I had mentioned the stroller in my notes while making the reservation too. The male waiter told us that there was no space for it in the dining room other than next to the one table by the window which was under direct sunlight and was quite hot. We ended up sitting there and sweating the whole time. I would understand if the place was packed or would fill up by reservations but it did not, at all."

"Was at Washington College for a swim meet and decided to stay around Chestertown for dinner. Found this restaurant through a friend. The restaurant is located on the water and if it wasn't winter we would love to eat on the deck. The restaurant has agood selection of draft beers, with many from local breweries. They have a good selection of food from soups, appetizersthrough desserts. We ended up ordering the crab soups, bacon wrapped scallops and shrimp catfish jambalaya. The scallopswere good but the jambalaya was great! The jambalaya had shrimp, andouille sausage and rice in a light tomato base. This wastopped with a good sized blackened catfish fillet. With a little extra Tabasco (only because I love spicy), the jambalaya wasperfect. We ended up with rice pudding and the brownie sundae for desserts. We will definitely return!"

"Absolutely not! I waited an hour for takeout, only to be halfway home and then told to return because they messed up my order. Nobody offered an apology or seemed to care. Most of the food was inedible, with the Fish and Chips served in raw batter, some items missing, and even someone else's salad included. The coleslaw was spoiled. The staff were rude, the food was terrible, and the prices were steep for what you receive. Good luck with table service, which isn’t any better. I highly recommend staying away!"

"First, let me say that parking is atrocious. We parked a ten minute walk away. We picked Stogie Joe 's to eat at while in Philly because it was a Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives spot. The place was busy and the staff was hustling. Our server waspolite, but not personable. We were seated in what I would say is an add on room, which they called 'the garage '. It was sounbelievably loud, we could not even have a conversation, and it wasn 't music or TV 's, just people! Food was good. We had thesquare pizza with fresh tomatoes, garlic, basil, and more. "We decided to try this place for a date night. The view of the ocean was the best part of the night. From the start, the service was poor. For parking, there was a sign across the street from the hotel pointing to a parking lot, and it said for hotel guests and the restaurant. The problem was that the only way in was through a security gate with a keypad for entry. I called the restaurant to ask what to do for parking. The person who answered the phone directed me to the lot we were outside of. When I told her we would need a code, she directed us to the public beach lot next to the hotel. The food was OK but very overpriced. The service was very slow. I asked for a drink before our food came, but our server forgot during our entire meal. Eventually, when she came back, we asked for the dessert menu and a drink. She never returned. The sous chef saw us just sitting there and offered to take our plates. At this point, it had been so long we asked for our drink to be canceled and for our check. Would not go back to this place."
