"Shockingly bad service. I felt bad for recommending the venue. According to friends, service was excellent prior to the shut down. That?s not the case now. We arrived a little after 6 pm (tix said doors open at 6 pm). We were told ?they? were running behind and we could have a seat until they notified us the doors were open. We were sitting in the bar area downstairs but there was no bartender. We were ushered upstairs about 6:25 pm and told we were the first to arrive butcould order our drinks and food through the app. Every staff member we spoke to made it seem like we were inconveniencing them. We scanned the qr code and there was no option to order food. We sat there another 15 minutes before we werefinally able to flag someone over. We?d seen about 6 staff members upstairs just talking amongst themselves across the room. One walked by and said he?d find a server to help us and we never saw him again. Gary walked over and introducedhimself. He was mumbling and we could barely understand a word he was saying. He kept telling us we should be able to order using the app, and I pulled it up on my phone to show him it wasn?t working. Then, he leaned over and grabbed myphone from me. He smelled absolutely putrid and I guessed he was either high or intoxicated. It was so gross and I was wearing a face shield the whole time. My partner had on a mask. We both smelled him. Gary kept saying he?d take care ofus, but we had to request everything like 3x. He told us we should know which wine we preordered for the table. But, what was the point of reserving a bottle if they don?t keep track of it? Another staff member approached to tell us shejust ?turned it on? and we could order food now. We were confused as to why everything was so unorganized and slow. A party of 4 older women walked in and sat at the table behind us. I was surprised to hear Gary make a lewd joke, which Ifound gross but that party didn?t seem offended. It definitely wasn?t professional. Late"

"So this review actually concerns both Mack 's Grill and Celtic Tiger Tavern. As we understand it, they are run by the same people (we tried going to Celtic Tiger a while back and the staff there told us then that the systems were down and they couldn 't get a hold of the only person who could fix it, but we should try Macks instead). Also, the picture I 'm posting shows when Celtic Tiger posted their St Paddy 's day blurb that 'to go orders are available at Mack 's ' further supporting them being run under the same umbrella. Why is this important? We called Celtic Tiger as google says they are open today until 11pm.I mentioned to my friend we could ask Mack 's to see if they had more information. My friend called and confirmed they were next to Celtic Tiger. Then asked if Celtic Tiger was open as no one is answering. He evidently said they were always closed on Monday and Tuesday. My friend very politely mentioned they should probably update their(Celtic Tiger 's) hours on the internet. The guy on the phone responded with Shut the Eff up, I don 't have effing time for this 'shoot ' And hung up. (He was on the phone less than two minutes, I 'm not even sure it was whole minute to be honest.)I can 't actually answer to the food, but I 'm not going to try a place that is so rude, understaffed and/or nasty that they cant take a single minute to answer a question about their sister restaurant (seriously they are RIGHT next to each other and clearly run by the same people). The group that runs both of these restaurants seems horrible at the staffing/updating/communication side which sucks because when Celtic Tiger is open, they had good food. We actually were in the neighborhood and were going to give Celtic Tiger another shot, because the food was so good and in the hopes the people behind them had gotten better with communication, posting correct hours, you know any sort of basic courtesy towards their patrons. This employee shows me the attitude that rolls down from the top. Mack 's and Celtic Tiger are off my list of places to support. Good luck if you go there."

"We made reservations for the brunch experience. I’ll just start by saying it was not worth the $75. While the waitress was very nice and kept our drinks filled, the food was mediocre at best and did not look anywhere near as good as how it looked online. The biggest problem my group had was with the dress code and the bouncers. The moment we stepped out of our Uber we were told that our shoes were not acceptable. The website states that patrons must wear “polished, practical footwear.” We were wearing flat sandals with two simple straps across the front. We were told by the bouncers that our shoes must either have a heel or a strap around our ankle. No where on the website does it say this. We decided to go buy shoes because we didn’t want to be charged the $75 for not going. However, once we were in we noticed that many of the patrons were wearing flat sandals with no ankle straps, casual tennis shoes, vans, and clothes that did not match the “smart casual dress code“ stated on the website. I would just like to say that I understand there’s a dress code but if you are going turn away patrons for something not stated on the website and not applying the dress code to ALL patrons equally that is not right and decreasing your business. Simply saying “dress to impress” on the website is not specific enough to be turning patrons away. If you want business casual, be extremely specific with your dress code online. Furthermore the bouncers started off our experience on a bad note. They were extremely rude to us regarding the shoes even though we were trying to be very kind and ask questions. When I had tried to ask a question regarding not having my ID on me I was rudely cut off and told to wait till I came back with different shoes. By the time we got back with our “polished, practical footwear” there was a line and we had already lost 20 minutes of our reservation. And once again when I went to tell the bouncer that my ID had been stolen I was rudely shushed and told he “heard me the first time.” While I understand there are times when you have to be firm, this was not warranted to the situation. We will not be returning to this establishment or recommending this experience to anyone."
